8. Years ago, a Canadian FB friend was ragging me ’cause, you know, it was cool to rag on us ’cause Trump and racism and stuff. So I asked her if she’d like 6% of her country to be composed of illegals, if she wanted the population from the south of her border to suddenly move north (illegally) and take her jobs, etc etc.

   Well, now we see that, aside from the political rhetoric, Canadians really don’t want immigrants, at least not ones that aren’t educated and coming from the Commonwealth.

12. If my math is right, Canader allowed 431,000 “newcomers” in 2022, and I don’t think that includes the 132,000 refugees from Ukraine. Add to that 35,000 Roxham Rd. Border crossers and we have a total of 598,000 newcomers to our smug little country last year.
    Where are we going to put them, in Tiny Houses?

    Immigration Canada proudly boasts of 465,000 more coming in this year ,rising to a cool half million by 2025.
    I don’t see how we can absorb that number when we can’t provide housing and medical care for the current population.

    But then I’m not as brilliant as the members of our federal Cabinet. Btw, does our carbon footprint increase with more people living here or are all the newcomers somehow carbon neutral?
