    1. Remember when Barry mocked Republicans for being scared of “widows and orphans” in 2015?
Those “orphans” have been on quite the rape spree for the last 7 years.

      1. Yep. Wonder how he’d feel if his daughters ran across these outstanding examples of civilization?

      2. I am finally able to watch “Yellowstone” on Prime Video (half way through season 3). I am enjoying it immensely. Montana is “drop dead gorgeous”, but it is the character of the various people on the Dutton Ranch which I am enjoying the most. They do not put up with “s**T” and take care of problems themselves. One character even says after a woman (sister and wife of 2 characters) is beaten up and raped, to “Shoot, Shovel and Shut up” These are my kind of men.

        1. Duttons make Sopranos look well adjusted and Tellers reasoned and loving. I have watched four seasons of Yellowstone expecting it to live up to the reputation and the hype. Great actors, beautiful scenery, and a plot that the greatest actors and the best scenery will not rescue. I will not spoil the details but the chaotic lazy plot with convenient twists and ignored loose links continues until the end of the season. John is still despotic, Beth is still a psycho bitch, Monica has the least demanding job of any professor ever, Jammie continues his evolution from a brilliant lawyer to a pathetic punching bag, Kayse tries to find himself, Rip is still the psycho murderer, Jimmy eventually finds himself because for some reason every woman he looks at wants him and he got a big dick. I was expecting a lot more from this show.

  1. This is what happens when you try and fight back against the system.

Read it and weep. The following paragraph says it all…

“SLAPP, which stands for strategic lawsuit against public participation, is a legal manoeuvre traditionally used by the rich and powerful to intimidate, silence and/or bankrupt opponents. Ontario introduced legislation in 2015 designed to protect against such gag proceedings from using the courts to silence expression on matters of public interest.”

    1. “The court’s decision to dismiss the lawsuit under anti-SLAPP legislation is the latest judgment against anti-vaccine and anti-science groups attempting to use the courts to silence and intimidate critics.”

That’s the journalist’s words, not an opinion from someone involved. And the article is not an opinion piece.
Seems pretty clear that the CBC is saying the nurses are anti-vaccine and anti-science.
      So they’re witches…

  2. More on the police officer who was ambushed on Indian Line Road, near Hagersville, Ontario.

    https://globalnews.ca/news/9375256/opp-charges-fatal-shooting-officer-hagersville/

“A 2021 document from the Parole Board of Canada says McKenzie [who allegedly killed the officer] is from the Onondaga First Nations of the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. He was serving an almost three-year sentence for robbery, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and other charges when his release was revoked that year because he was not complying with his terms.”

“McKenzie has been prohibited for life for possessing firearms since 2018 and was charged in 2021 with several firearms offences and assaulting a peace officer, Carrique said. He failed to attend a court appearance in September, at which point additional charges were laid against him and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Carrique said he was “outraged” that McKenzie was out on bail at the time of the shooting.”

“This should have never happened. Something needs to change,” he said. “Our police officers, your police officers, my police officers, the public, deserve to be safeguarded against violent offenders who are charged with firearms related offences.”

“In the robbery, [the reason McKenzie was on bail] which happened in 2017, the court document describes how McKenzie pointed a handgun at a restaurant owner, ordering him to hand over his car keys and money.”

“The document says McKenzie has experienced the negative impacts of colonialism.”

No mention if the guns were legally owned, but I doubt it. You can get people like this guy off the street or you can take away the guns of law-abiding people.

    1. You’re using facts and logic.
Liberal women voters are driving the anti-gun Cadillac toward state-approved societal health & safety.
Many live in Rosedale, Rockliffe Park and Westmount.

    2. I’ve always found the reaction to a cop killing curious. Why is it so different than when Joe Sixpack gets shot? Both are lives that were prematurely ended.

    3. In a refreshing and unusual case of thorough and honest reporting, Global News and the Canadian Press deserve praise for including the background of the alleged male perpetrator that the rest of the legacy media want to keep hidden from the public.

Also, the rest of the legacy media will not want to provide the public with the views of the OPP Commissioner, Thomas Carrique, which clearly violate politically correct orthodoxy:

“The officer was essentially ambushed and stood absolutely no chance of being able to defend himself,” Carrique said.

Carrique said he was “outraged” that McKenzie was out on bail at the time of the shooting.

“This should have never happened. Something needs to change,” he said. “Our police officers, your police officers, my police officers, the public, deserve to be safeguarded against violent offenders who are charged with firearms related offences.”

The responsible politicians will, of course, ignore Carrique’s statement that “Something needs to change”, while the legacy media will refuse to champion the cause of bail reform, just as they ignore the history of the guns used in crimes.

  3. Folk and country singer Ian Tyson died at 89.

I was a big fan of Ian and Sylvia, especially their first four acoustic albums on Vanguard records. After Ian and Sylvia split, and divorced, Ian went back to ranching and recording on a small local record label. Sylvia became a CBC Radio biggie in Toronto, hosting her own show.
