        J&J have reduced sentences for crimes committed using guns, have made parole available earlier (after serving 1/3 of sentence), and any prison time before conviction counts as double (or is it triple) time served.

        And if you’re under 18, you’ll probably get tried as a young offender. So very little time served.

        If you really don’t like someone, there is less and less deterrent to shooting them.

          Of 27,897 charges that have resolutions, between 2015-01-01, and 2019-05-09, 438 ended as convictions, 1677 ended as guilty pleas, 2060 ended as guilty pleas either before or at trial, and 13 as a guilty plea to a lesser offence. (total 4188, or about 15%); this number is less than 6665 charges the crown stayed, and 11,272 that were withdrawn.

          In the same time frame, there were 38,858 charges laid relating to weapons (including firearms)

    When the Toronto Sun story with photos of a major drug gang was importing brand new in the

    The Trudeau government’s purpose is to prove they have so much unconstrained power.

    The court cases challenging the Constitutionally of the Lockdowns and Vaxx Mandates,
    will sow if the Supreme Court agrees with the Trudeau regime’s view completely or
    partially or rejects it to any degree. From there the citizens and their province’s Constitutional options become clear.

  8. Given some of the other SDA headlines today, it is becoming apparent that A) the Federal Liberals are NOT AT ALL concerned about violent crime against Canadians generally and Toronto in particular, and B) the real reason for all the gun bans is the Freedom Convoy.

    The truckers scared the schlitz out of them, and they’re flexing their totalitarian muscles in response. Plain and simple.

    Historically such things do not end well, generally speaking. See Europe for countless examples in the last 200 years.

  10. Some of the gunfire was probably unregistered handgun owners firing in the air to celebrate that the value of their investment in unregistered handguns had suddenly gone up five or ten-fold because the Liberals made it illegal to sell them.

If/when/hopefully, we are able to change government for the sake of our collective sanity, we can pressure the new government to lift this onerous and arbitrary handgun ban, and create sensible legislation regarding firearms and firearms ownership. Until then, we must bide our time, passively resist, and keep throwing sand and rocks into the gears of liberal/WEF machinations. If we legal firearms owners were really a problem, with the number of currently owned firearms and ammo out there, I think the whole country would know it by now! However, the reality is that the turd is trying to provoke us to do something they can point at and say, see…. this is why we want to remove guns from Canadian society. They will keep pushing against us until that “something” happens. Ironically, if “something” does happen, they wont accept responsibility for causing it in the first place. They know they cannot control an armed population without that populations consent. Gun owners are a threat to the supremacy of liberals, globalists, and dictators, and must be disarmed before the crap hit the fan with their grandiose plans.

    Criminals on the other hand, are in a symbiotic relationship with government, as they keep the public fearful, and continually calling for the government to “do something” thus giving the government and globalists, and dictators, more power! It’s all Kabuki theater, and we all are the recipients of their grand plans to control and enslave us in a techno/feudal new world order. RESIST!
