    1. An incompetent manager who selected a piss poor roster … goes up by ONE goal at halftime … and proceeds to do what every other FAILED England coach before him would have done … he parked the bus. He pulled all his half-decent attacking players and subbed-in a bunch of big white stiff defenders.

      After England scored their ONE goal … they possessed the ball 22% of the time. They literally and intentionally GAVE the ball to Messi … who could have finished with 4 assists if his teammates hadn’t hit the woodwork twice and had great shots saved.

      That was a coaching display which will be taught in coaching clinics till the end of time as a precautionary tale. One other statistic England fans still embracing your German IDIOT manager … no team has ever won the World Cup with a foreign manager. Dump Tuchel NOW!

      PS … France will make mincemeat out of this English lot in the Bronze medal match.

      2. The French team isn’t French and the English team isn’t English, so why does it matter how “France” or “England” plays? On top of that it’s more interesting to watch paint dry.

      3. I’m in agreement with you, Kenji, on this one. Watching the game, my reaction in the second half, after the goal, was WTF and Not Again, usual English international team tactics. You cannot sit on your laurels against the Argies.

And here is where I remind you that the geniuses calling the game kept talking about the size difference between the TALL England defenders … esp. that big stiff, Burns … and how the little Argies were never gonna score from a headed cross. The amount some ‘experts’ think they know about soccer simply astounds me.

      1. I consider the Argentina – Spain match on Sunday to be the ideal finish to the tournament.

        Messi had a lot of his glory years in Spain playing for Barcelona, and Julian Alvarez, currectly with Atletico Madrid, is being wooed by Barcelona to join their roster.

        By the way, I met my wife in Argentina and currently live in Spain.

            Spain’s 2-0 win over France certified all I needed to know about Spain. They are a relentlessly better machine than even France. Shut out M’Bappe. In fact the French had precious few quality goal scoring opportunities. It was a relentless, precision, win by Spain.

            The one difference the Argies present is … heart. They play with the kind of emotion, coupled with skill and tactics … that can be a difference-maker. Boy howdy did England get taught that lesson.

            I had wished for a Spain-France FINAL … but FIFA squelched that idea with their brackets. However … perhaps I was mistaken … this may prove to be a much superior final.

Nobody proofs these articles before they post. Just incredibly frustrating to somebody who used to proofread engineering proposals before they went out the door to potential clients. I used to review those things like my life depended on it. I always thought, if I’m a potential customer, and I read someone’s proposal and they can’t even get the proposal right, then how can I depend on them to execute the work correctly?

      1. When my daughter was in 1st grade … she used to “play ponies” with a group of friends at recess. And I have known a (very cute and smart) adult woman who was deeply into furry-anime cosplay … and sewed her own elaborate costumes. She struck me as very much like my 1st grade daughter … but had never grown up. There’s something little-girlish about furries IMHO. I mean look at Lance Twigs … the dude had to even ‘become’ a little girl to suit his furry cosplaying.

  7. Boomers were expected to transfer $100 trillion in wealth as they age out. In the latest report by VISA that number has been trimmed to $36 trillion due to over-counting (e.g., reductions due to tax payments, living expenses of boomers etc.).

    Maybe I’m missing something but the remaining $36 trillion is not good news for the economy as that money is already baked in. And when it gets transferred to the boomer’s kids, the government will be taxing as much of it as they can.

    1. I know of 3 couples my age who have treated their homes as ATM’s and have already spent the money. One couple freely admits that they will also be using a reverse mortgage on their residence and that nothing will be left to their children.
      As I have posted previously, I have always lived by the motto “Do not spend money you do not have”. I never qualified for a line of credit until my second last house as I was single, self-employed and female. Nevertheless, I have had a good life – roof over my head, food on the table, brought up my daughter by myself and have taken many nice, foreign vacations.
      I think there will be many, many disappointed younger generations soon.

      1. As the report hints, boomers have bills to pay, so much of this perceived inheritance won’t be there when they die. I’ve helped my kids along the way (paid for tuition, helped them buy a home etc.) and I’ve warned them that now they are on their own. Might leave them some wine. I also know of people who use the ATM model to pay for vacations and other discretionary spending. Big mistake.

        BTW … Intergenerational wealth transfer is a primary target of the DSA. The communists resent all the ‘privileged’ children of 2-parent, intact, loving, families who are statistically much more likely to have $$$ to leave to their children. They’re bitter that their single, leftist-protester mom didn’t have two nickels to leave them. So they want a wealth tax … to PUNISH successful families.

    Democrats are freaking over Trump’s speech scheduled for tonight. Democrats like Obama advisor David Axelrod are already sounding the alarm that all election fraud evidence is suspect.
    Meanwhile, Joe Rogan is laying the election fraud groundwork during an interview with JD Vance. There is nothing stressed Democrats and DSA consultants can do about Rogan reaching an audience lefties have lost.

  11. I used to go to the drag races at Speedway Park in Edmonton in the early 1970s. The track disappeared as the real estate market did a better quarter. The top fuelers were impressive with your whole body seeming to vibrate from the sound. In the intervening time they had to reduce the track length to 1000 feet or 1/8 mile from 1/4 mile because speeds got too dangerous. Engines on top fuelers eat themselves up needing to be rebuilt after every run.

  12. Remember spontaneous combustion? One minute they’re there, the next minute they’re burnt to a crisp. Did they ever arrest anyone because that was clearly a scam where people died.
