   Well one answer is, what can go wrong if ONE SIDE thinks it can drop some nukes and it won’t come back to bite them?

   The stupid is thinking that Russia is less likely to use them , if using them will get what Putin wants. The idea that we should rule out nukes has all the intellectual rigour of “Defund the Police”, because Police and criminals sometimes fight.
   The sane question is to ask what can ALSO go wrong if we AREN’T ready to make Russia hurt if the cross the line.

      1. They do.. They also know that they do not make money on product already sold, only that which governments order and pay for in the future.

         The idea that military manufacturers would like to see a war that will destroy their customer’s ability to pay, shows a certain amount of economic naivety….

         Not to mention that under full wartime mobilisation, manufacturers get TOLD what to make, and TOLD what they will be paid for it, and when.

   1. Donald Trump was not completely joking* when he asked Russia to give us a hand in July 2016. I have no doubt that Russia, China, Britain, France, Germany, Israel, Iran, and more countries had hacked Hillary Clinton’s pathetic email security, and downloaded all her mail.
