One must get out of the city and into Creation to start healing from the free fall of etiquette. I am so grateful the LORD made the way for us to own a farm. Is everything hunky dory in the countryside? Nope. But this year has had glorious rainbows and sunsets. Perhaps a day of darkness approaches
Consider yourself fortunate. That’s if your farm is far enough away from any urban centers. Tend to your fresh water supply and stock up on ammo. The message from Davos is loud and clear: we need nuclear war to bring on the Great Reset.
We often do a night in Sedona when away on road trips – it’s a nice place to just chill out and go for a nice hike or something. Last time was just a couple months ago after hitting Bryce Canyon (UT) and Antelope Canyon (AZ)
Damn. Bryce is the only one of the Mighty 5 we’ve missed. We headed there from. Zion but had to turn back due to snow. Antelope Canyon, you have to admire how the Navajo skin the tourists alive for that visit.
Nice photos, pretty country. Our friends had been wintering near there – then along came the Wuhan flu. So they will be returning this winter after a 2 year absence.

Great photos Robert. I’m on the go train heading into Toronto. Between acton and Georgetown the fall colours are amazing. Closer to Toronto it’s mostly amazing graffiti.
Sedona is still on my retirement destination list … it’s just that I’m not much of a weirdo spiritual fraudster doing shakra-aligning massage on the “healing red rocks”. So, I may keep looking for a wilderness inhabited by more of “my people”.
The desert lands are beautiful though. Esp. when thunderstorms are popping up. Just beware flash floods.
Hope you keep Sedona on your retirement list Kenji. In my experience it’s easy to avoid the “weirdo spiritual fraudster” element. The landscape is so dominant and the hiking opportunities so varied that you can revel in nature on your own terms. If you don’t seek out the weirdos, who are basically businesses seeking clients, Sedona is a desert paradise in my book.

Nope – I live in Southwestern Ontario. Over the past two+ years, memories of my favourite places have helped me cope with the craziness and dream of better times. Sedona for me is the place of my most memorable hikes and some of the most beautiful vistas I’ve ever seen (and the new age hype has never penetrated – minimize time on the main roads). If I recall correctly, the town was named by an early pioneer and postmaster with the surname Schnebly after his wife Sedona. By any other name – Schneblyville? – it would still be one of my favourite places on earth.
Thank you for the photos Robert. You’ve made an already stunningly beautiful place even more majestic and awe inspiring.

As I recall … Bobby’s got a sick rig. Real optics … not a three-eyed digitizing monster
Yea, I’ve been using a full frame for a cpl yrs now. Nikon D750.
Absolutely love this low light monster..!!
Was out north of Calgary a cpl weekends ago, with a Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 lens, taking some Milky Way shots with a as well as Jupiter… it wasn’t till I got home and uploaded them, That I noticed on one, it had in the lower left side showed a string of what could only be Musks StarLink satellites cutting across the sky..!
17 of them in a perfect straight line coming from the NW – Oct 02 ~11:30 or so MDT.

Looking forward to heading up near BA’s dads home area for some northern lights later on this month.
Beautiful. I have to drive to Tahoe to see stars like that. What’s the shutter exposure time for those night sky photos?
Steakman- Those StarLink sats are starting to give me the heebie jeebies. We were out camping Friday through Monday. In the past, on a good night, you’d see a couple dozen satellites, tops. I saw probably 60-70 each night, most of them StarLink, based on the track. (They’re now spreading out and taking their own orbits, but there were lots of them still tracking in the same or near-similar orbit they started on.) There are so many that cross paths it’s not funny. Hard to tell the separation, but in several cases, it couldn’t have been more than a few miles.

When will be safely covid ‘vax’ free be allowed to return to the US? Our last vacation was to Vegas and the Hoover dam just before the scamdemic hit. Would move to red state America if we could. Nevada would be a red state as well if you could just get a lid on the fake votes.
