  1. Music – the last 5 decades. The old stuff is OK – 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Being 75 I decided to listen to all the more recent music that is the 90’s and 2000’s . Maybe I’m alone on this, but a lot of the later music is boring, loud, repetitive and just plain awful. Then more recently we have rap – more garbage.

Let me equate this to reading material. There are a lot great things to read and there are comic books. Most recent music is like comic books. Admittedly, comic books are indeed things you can read, but we usually stop reading them at around age 11.

Here’s the good news. Want to know the best thing about music. Just about everything from the 1930’s on is available to hear, one way or the other. It didn’t disappear, so regardless of your favorite genre or time period you can still listen to it. Me, I was a dance teacher and competitor so I like music you can dance to whether it is Swing, Blues, Pop, Country, Latin or Ballroom and there is a ton of great dance music. We live in an era where we can hear tons of music for free. That is a terrific development.
