  1. Destroy the bounty that produced and empowered the woke decadence, and we won’t have anything—the woke included. Wokeism is, for now, an affordable irrelevancy that rests on the wealth and lessons produced by those long dead and now much rebuked. But it won’t remain affordable.

    Instead, we will learn what woke itself produces—barbarism, chaos, poverty, and civilization in reverse

    And destroy it they are. The majority (D)’s controlling the Federal Govt. have spent us into the oblivion of permanent debt and runaway inflationary spiral. And this Admin. is doing everything possible to kill off our free market economy and energy independence. The end may be coming much sooner than the Rainbow umbrella brigades know.

      I have a 72 year old cousin in Fresno Calif (where VDH also lives) and would have loved to send him this essay. Unfortunately, my cousin wrote me off a couple of years ago when I dared to say that I didn’t think Trump was doing such a bad job. Cousin was a former union guy working for PG&E and his wife was a teacher. I often wonder what he thinks these days.

  4. I pray that VDH and his associates are taking moderate to severe precautions these days. The looney, left-winged, legions
    (3 word score!) are no respecters of persons. In particular, the ones of us that see through the smoke and mirrors of the dims could be in harm’s way. Heads on a swivel! Don’t let them have a free shot.

  5. As with all bad ideas, the post modern nihilism of which, wokeness is an integral element, originated in the humanities faculties on US campuses where more Marxists reside than in all of Russia. The goals of unleashing such nihilism include the ungluing of the culture of individualism, liberty, critical thinking, free enterprise, free speech, and voluntary exchange. The tactic of the emphasis on racism is uniquely aimed at US history but has been adopted throughout the western world due to its success. The other tactic most successful was the draping of the former communist left in green and pursuing the global warming hysteria to a fever pitch enabling the statists to rationalize the exercise of control over access to energy which is synonymous with access to life. The elimination of that darned middle class means the elite can rule over dependent serfs with absolute power and the intended reversion to that old historic norm is why its all happening again. Wokeness represents the erasure of the War of Independence.

  6. Thank goodness for people like VDH that can express so eloquently in words, what most here on SDA can perceive but not so eloquently express. We have a few who can, they know who they are, and I am grateful for their wise and sage words, just as I am grateful for the measured sanity, and quiet sense of reality that comes from Victor David Hanson, and few others.
