    No doubt she’s made a ton of dough and can afford the extra costs…not like her country mates can.

    I guess they figure they are so far along in our destruction that there is no way to turn back now , even if we wanted to.

  3. Heard this morning there is a massive over-supply of gasoline (look how rapidly the price of gas has fallen) and a massive under-supply of heating oil. Plus the cost of natural gas is at 10 year highs. France is asking companies to reduce electricity use by 10% because rationing is likely. The head of the European Commission admitted this morning that the problem in Ukraine has highlighted the fragility of Europe’s energy plan and rough days lie ahead. Our leaders – they’re always the last to know. I don’t expect Greta will make any appearances this winter. Best to wait until the bodies are cleared away and summer returns.

    1. – Most likely true. The problem can be seen on your heating bill; the heating oil they sell you is actually called “#2 Diesel”, and with the plandemic winding down (?) and all the shortages of everything the transportation networks are trying to resupply with Christmas in the offing, diesel is in high demand and short supply.

    2. My diesel bill was down in August from July which was down from June. Not seeing a spike north of Rockwood. We’ll see what Sept’s refill brings.

      1. I drive a diesel SUV, and the price of diesel around here is approximately 50c/litre higher than regular gas. Price went up rapidly in the past couple of weeks.

And I’m also sure there are sections in their respective legislation that pretty well mirror Ss. 215 (Fail to provide Necessaries of Life), 219 (Criminal Negligence), 220 (Criminal Negligence Causing Death).

    Breathlessly waiting for the diligent European media to point this out to their negligent politicians. (Eye roll)

    1. The agreement is non binding.

      The agreement has two purposes;

      1. to make it look like Trudeau is doing something. Government officials and the media will refer to this agreement whenever they’re asked what they’re doing.

      2. to provide justification for the government to pay lots of money to liberal consultants to prepare a feasibility study.

      The article mentions exports could start in 2025. Not a chance. The environmental studies will take at least that long. Followed by years to consultation with First Nations.

      And who will build the transport ships?

  13. That really was alarming. I think it is time to end the Russian boycotts and the War in the Ukraine. What exactly is the point of continuing? I also think there is massive corruption at the heart of that war. All that money is going to profiteering. There is no accountability, and whatever the Ukraine claims to be fighting for is not worth the damage being done in the Ukraine and everywhere.

    1. Correction. There is corruption at the heart of *every* war from the beginning of the 20th century until now.

    The use of Greta as a symbol was brilliant.
    A mentally ill adolescent,preaching “The Way”,The One True Religion.

    The Ukriane Russia Rumble always looked staged to me,too timely,too convenient,providing much needed cover for our own thieves and fools.

    Trying to engage us all in mass patriotism after robbing us of so much.
    War Measures Act is a mighty fine tool,when the peasants are getting angry.
    And the propaganda from our pet serial liars has upheld that suspicion.

    The result,so far,have exceeded my imagination.
    Not only does Russia get to absorb half of the Ukraine,but the West(Thats our leaders) reward Russia,paying extraordinary prices for oil and gas..Almost like ransom money..

    Declaring themselves opposed to Russian expansion,they then enable and reward that expansion.
    Diverting enormous amounts of our wealth to “support Ukraine”,which seems to vanish into well connected pockets and leave the Ukraine Citizenry defenceless..Or is it really used to buy Russian Gas and oil?
    And us dumb taxpayers left even more impoverished and unprepared..

    And with the energy policies exposed as hopelessly insane?

    These same “leaders” double down on intermittent and inadequate generation sources..
    We are to be at war?
    Yet without the ability to arm or supply ourselves?
    As these same fools work to ensure we cannot feed ourselves.
    The effete elites are circling the abyss,time we gave them a helping hand..
    Or foot.
    Those that survive,will be mighty receptive to that age old message.
    “You really should have left me alone”.

    And when it comes to the required “Corrective actions”..The survival of those who created the mess will be an all consuming interest of some.
    For that is how the human animal is wired.

    1. China seems to be in the background of all this globalization mess and was situated that if the United States had crushed Russia economically(which failed) and sitting in the middle of Ukraine with NATO forces.
      China gave warnings to Russia on Washington’s War planning and was able to counter and invade Ukraine and knocking out the NATO presence.
      Once Russia was taken care of, China was going to be next for the new NATO war with all countries involved.

      Just my take by current events occurring and how this game board is currently playing out.
      So next, the US Dollar dies on the world stage and China again comes out well with the corrupted politicians that’s been bought.

  18. I’m making a huge batch of popcorn to watch what happens to Europe this winter. The “leaders” in many of those countries better have the helicopters warming up their engines so they can make a quick escape. Will also be entertaining to watch the Europa building in Brussels get torn to the ground.

    1. They will simply claim that we haven’t “weaned ourselves off our oil addiction” … fast enough. That if we had all embraced our “clean, green, future” sooner … then we would all be cozy-warm with our solar and wind power covering a clear cut Black Forest. Double-down … Triple-down … and deny-deny-deny REALITY.

  21. My personal favorite of all the climate lies, is that people will die because of rising sea levels. I suppose schools are too busy to teach swimming any more, as the woke agenda is all-consuming.

    I do so miss the Maldives.

    Why any government would jump in bed with people who have no plan at all is beyond my understanding..
