The Neocon Era of the Republicans is Now Dead

The massive defeat of Liz “Abraham” Cheney last night signaled a much larger defeat for Bush-Cheney-Romney:

Liz Cheney’s thumping defeat in her bid for renomination for Wyoming’s sole seat in the House of Representatives signals again the utter and total defeat of the Bush-Cheney-Romney era of the Republican Party. The neoconservative period of GOP dominance ended when Donald Trump trounced the field during the 2016 primary season. But the avatars of that political tendency — in favour of military adventurism and “free markets” — keep appearing like ghosts at the feast to rattle their chains and insist on being seated above the salt.

    1. Considering the trouncing she just got, I would assume it would be mostly Soros/Bush dollars filling her war chest?

    1. Romney begged Trump for an endorsement for the Senate position in Utah and got it. Then since being elected he has repeatedly shat all over Trump including twice voting to impeach, a total asshole. When up for re-election in 2024 he’ll be 77 and ready to retire. I hope he runs so he can be rejected.

    2. It is my understanding that Romney has too many connections with the Mormon Church to get ousted.

  1. In her defeat speech, Cheney mentioned Abraham Lincoln.

“The great and original champion of our party Abraham Lincoln was defeated in elections for the Senate and the House before he won the most important election of all,” Cheney said in her speech.

Subsequently Bigfoot has been called forth to give an almighty va-jayjay boot to the insolent Hag.

  2. Good Riddance. Let us roll up our sleeves and throw out the rest of the ‘in name only’ parasites.

  3. just a quick point but please note that both the democratic and republican parties are private clubs and can make any rules they want. There are no laws about how a private club can be run. Always keep this in mind. When you realize this you will understand what you are up against.

    1. Of course you’re right.
It’s just too bad that people don’t think so.
Being of liberal mind today that, in real terms, means being conservative.
If you can think back, president John Kennedy was liberal man, he would be considered extreme “right wing” as the socialist extremists would define today.
The word liberal is completely misused, you can say misleading. Today it means “Liberal”, being socialist/fascist by other means.
That’s the one thing that Limbaugh messed up since he could not allow for the possibility of socialists/fascists and communists actually living in USA. As an American, he just had no capacity for allowing this.

  4. Read that this morning,,, and I’m still screaming, the neo-cons warm mongers are more than Bush-Cheney-Romney, they also include McCain, Biden, Obama, the Clintons, Schumer, Pelosi. It is the heart of the Uni-party.
They could’a worked with Gore, but they’d rather have Bush, they could’a had McCain, but they rathered Obama, etc.
I think Cheney will run, and the Uni-party will be content to have her as an option, because Biden won’t cut it and really who else do Dems have(for the Uni party)? (maybe the “beast”, again?)
They must have one choice, at the top of at least one of the tickets.
Does it make sense that Pelosi assigns Liz as co-chair J6, to destroy PDJT, clearing the path for a shot at winning the R primary? (Uni in position,,, just incase she needed,,, or maybe her reward for taking out PDJT.
Many in the Republican party aren’t in the Uni, many Democrats aren’t in the Uni either(Tulsi for one.

  5. It took a couple of decades, but the serial failures of the Neo-con Right has finally caught up to them. But they aren’t all dead yet and are still dangerous. The Neo-con Left is still active, and will prop up their Neo-con Right brethren for so long as it suits their war against the anti-Neo-cons.

  6. House Halliburton
Cheney aspires to the presidency, but has no constituents.

Her exit from the stage in 2024 may even be quicker than was Kamala’s.

The family’s anger with Trump is not a sensible political platform.
