    1. HiHo – DeCaprio’s comrades at the NYT are attacking Brazil’s presidenti for the 1,250 new airstrips in the Amazon. The NYT claims this rush into the jungle is to mine tin and gold.

      This WUWT guest blogger drug a bit deeper (pun intended) and discovered in an MIT journal: “Aha! The “key players” in the mining rush into the Amazon are big companies looking for “rare metals for electric vehicle batteries.” Why am I not surprised?”. How did the NYT journalist not uncover this important aspect of the story?

          If it were cocaine driving this deforestation, the NYT would have mentioned it in the article because Biden isn’t endorsing cocaine.

    1. This is a story from half a year go. I don’t know how much of it is true. Some claim the statistic is false.

      I am withholding my judgement. I know they are lying to us, but they also often release easy to debunk false stories about exaggerated negative effect of the vaccines, and thus try reduce all legitimate concerns to a common low denominator. This could well be one of those stories.

      1. Let us hope the story is false. Problem is, the ” fact check” relies on predictable official denials. Regardless, a big concern is that they pretty universally recommend that pregnant women get vaxed, when they did not include pregnant women in their studies. ( oops, sorry, I mean pregnant ” people”). It is to the point where it is just very hard to know what is true and what is not. Pregnancy should be a reasonable basis for getting an exemption to any mandatory injection. As far as I know, it is not.

        1. Seems to me that a sensible, reasoning person, based on past experience alone, should be at the point where everything single thing expressed by politicians, governments, officialdom, media and medical authorities is considered a lie.

          Don’t trust and definitely verify!

        2. I agree with your point about fact checkers. Several of them ask the government “is that a fact?”, when the government says “no” the fact checkers claim the story is false. But I haven’t seen any reliable source for the 86 stillbirths figure. It seems like several people quote each other while the hospital released statistics contradict the claim. I am skeptical of the claim. Having said that… when you watch Elliot respond, she does not say the story is false, she just regurgitates the standard boiler plate about vaccines being safe. Maybe she was blindsided or maybe there is something to it.

      War Crime Tribunals 2.0. The Crime of the Century. Special Forces will be sent to apprehend
      them in their spidey holes all over the globe. Globe trotting for the Crimes Against Humanity
      trials. The movie will become a classic warning of greed, corruption and incompetence.

      By next year this time, the Congressional Hearings preliminary will begin. Robert Kennedy Jr.
      and Reiner Fullmich have railcars full of evidence, which will be entered into California courts,
      to start with. The Big Pharma also responsible will be sued into bankruptcy. Every vaccine in
      current use will be required to pass a renewed safety/benefit.

      The carnage is a horror, and as for the trials, class action lawsuits will wreck havoc with patent
      Pharma and the gov’t’s that backed them against their own citizens.

        Actually..?? I don’t see that happening at ALL if Ever.
        There are far far too many Seemingly intelligent, Supposed critical thinkers in this country who have taken the RED pill and simply will not “ALLOW” ANY contrary thoughts let alone Actual EVIDENCE to sway their full on RELIGIOUS like Belief in the Vaxx and their primary health care advisers & system.

        I got a Family full of them. BRAIN DEAD the lot.

        I made mention of it yesterday – The TPTB are not stupid – by off loading ‘testing” with RT PCR to Home Rapid Tests, they now allow a whole new phenomena to become apparent.

        Anytime anyone of the Covid Cult get as sniffle or mild cough – they WILL immediately grab one of their rapid test kits and will be “rewarded” near 100% of the time with a POSITIVE test Result. A full FEEDBACK Loop. (Reminds me of those experiments with Mice and Cocaine)

        I’m pretty sure these kits have ZERO ability to differentiate between the common cold/flu or Covid…..Just like RT PCR.

        Sneaky and Damned Effective…for keeping this SCAM alive.

        1. I think the last couple of years makes it quite clear that 20%, maybe even 30% of Canadians, not only want but actually NEED the government to tell them what to do and think!

          We’ve become a feminized country of single moms looking for the dole.

          Unfortunately, the government can replace daddy’s wallet but not daddy.

          Ever notice the young fellows these days, not gay but very feminine gestures and movement?
          If we had an army, watching the marching would be fun.

          Has to be a plenitude of countries out there licking their chops at just how easy Canada would be.

          The US are still slightly ahead but learning Chinese may yet come in handy.

          Maybe the Podunk, USA police department will get tuned up on a Saturday nite and decide to take us over for a lark.

I sent the story (at the time) via email to my Ontario MPP who forwarded it to Christine Elliot, then Minister of Health (who dismissed it publicly in the Provincial Parliament) and Sylvia Jones, then Attorney General and now Minister of Health. I followed it with statistics from other parts of the world showing the same problems. I never heard anything from either Elliot or Jones – no response except Elliot’s public dismissal. I had sent more stats just two weeks ago to my MPP, and when asked by the first line of defense, an assistant, if forwarding to former radio announcer, Sylvia Jones, was appropriate, I said, “No, don’t forward it, listen to the 5 minutes of video yourself and judge if it is worthy” because his action is to pass it on, and not consider it. I got a terse and curt response from the MPP himself saying “I read the email” – no comments about the contents, just a juvenile “OK, you made me read the email, but I didn’t bother to consider the contents at the links”.

      The Ford conservatives are a big bunch of do nothing losers – all of them.

      1. Yes. They are. I am especially disappointed in Christine Elliot. Unfortunately, I think the Liberals are just as bad, and the NDP is totally useless. I am also very suspicious that Ontario and other provincial governments were bribed ( by the Feds and theIr backers) to comply with Covid lock downs and vaccine mandates. Otherwise, it makes no sense that governments with very different political ideologies were all on side. I came across something indicating bribery for ” green agenda” compliance, so I don’t think this is a stretch.

      There are about 600 men on the planet good enough to play in the NHL at any given time.
      There are millions of doctors. Some not very good (a lot more than 600 just here in Canada).
      If you don’t like what athletes or actors or musicians make don’t support them.
      That’s called choice.

    Of course they blame global warming, but if you know a bit of Canadian history the Rideau Canal – built in the early 1800’s as a response to the war with the US – saw a couple thousand die in its construction. Mostly Irish and many died of…malaria.
