The answer to this question is obvious to any sane person, but then again you have to look at who we’re dealing with here.
The federal government’s hate speech legislation “hadn’t done the legislative analysis” on whether residential school denialism should be considered as such, Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Rebecca Alty said on Thursday.

I’d be even more alarmed if the federal #Libranos had looked into whether “residential school denialism” would (not “should” but would/will) be viewed as hate speech. Not surprised, only “more alarmed”…
Last line at the Global News article..
“However, she added that residential school denialism was something the government needed to address.”
Who loves genocide?
Who doesn’t love pretending?
Who doesn’t love a good story?
Who doesn’t love censorship?
Haters, that’s who.
In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned.
When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot. ~Mark Twain
If I say that only 214 children were buried in Kamloops instead of 215 do I go to jail?
What are the parameters and criteria?
HATE is not a lack of civility. Hate is a preference. It is an opinion formed from personal experience. Hate is not a crime. Hate is a clarification. It clarifies one’s position. And, if valid, it clarifies the object, person, or situation to which it is applied.
Personal experience is applicable to the individual, and applying blanket laws that effect everyone based on some other individual(s) personal beliefs and experiences is the nothing short of controlling HUBRIS and faulty logic.
I hate the HATE LAW concept, and everyone who champions it. I HATE it and them with a passion.
(Now, having read everything I posted above; Am I being serious? Am I being sarcastic? Am I just causing trouble for the sake of causing trouble? No one knows but me, because no one is omnipotent, and no one can read my mind. Therefore, HATE LAWS are unenforcable. There will always be a semblance of doubt in the meaning of my words).
Active Brain-Computer Research
While they aren’t scanning your brain for everyday ads, Meta (Facebook’s parent company) has been actively developing literal mind-reading hardware. They have worked on:
Neural Wristbands: In previous years, the company acquired CTRL-Labs to develop non-invasive wristbands that decode electrical signals from neurons to let you control screens with your thoughts.
Silent Speech: Researchers have explored non-invasive optical imaging and sensors to silently translate intended speech into text.

Too, too sensitive for poor wee Canadians.
What a grown-up country.
The current state of Canada, and its lying egregious Government and Media is just downright embarrassing.
Canada. Land of Officialdom with no shame and a people who embrace their servitude.
Somebody should make a list of all the verboten topics in Canada so we don’t run afoul of all those Censorship bills the Libranos are passing.
No doubt the Media has a copy.

Communist shitholes do this……..
I just love the way they abbreviate their propaganda into a nice easy to remember phrase like “residential school denialism”.
“Denialism”? Of what, exactly? “Deniers”, you say? What precisely am I supposed to be “denying”?
I refuse to use their language, and I sure as hell will never refer to anyone as a “survivor” of a residential school, either.
Fcking Indians.
We can’t live with them so we should have wiped them out.
Not with malice, just with forethought.
And buried every corpse under lime.
If Indians want people to hate them even more, they should keep pushing this rock up the hill.
Tomson Highway would be in BIG trouble even though he is an Order of Canada recipient who is a full blooded Cree and a registered member of the Barren Lands First Nation who said this….
“All we hear is the negative stuff, nobody’s interested in the positive, the joy in that school. Nine of the happiest years of my life I spent it at that school. I learned your language, for God’s sake. Have you learned my language? No, so who’s the privileged one and who is underprivileged?
You may have heard stories from 7,000 witnesses in the process that were negative,” he adds. “But what you haven’t heard are the 7,000 reports that were positive stories. There are many very successful people today that went to those schools and have brilliant careers and are very functional people, very happy people like myself. I have a thriving international career, and it wouldn’t have happened without that school.”
Yes, I wish Tomson and others would pipe up these days.
It might even help with reconciliation.
”The Combatting Hate Act” … SAVING “marginalized groups”.
I stopped reading right there. Any government that believes it can legislate THOUGHT and FREE expression … is EVIL. They are the primary purveyors of HATE.
“Truth is not optional and reconciliation cannot exist without truth,” said Chief David Monias of Pimicikamak Cree Nation.
Irony of the day. Truth is not optional. It is no longer allowed to get in the way of the facts.
…as we draw closer to full idealogical alignment with China.
That anyone not engaged in grift (some people will stoop to anything for money) would consider the question seriously is in a position of authority is an example of a civilization at end stage and ripe for collapse or revolution.
