“Eat the Bugs” begins!

Yuck:

A food brand called ActuallyFoods lists Organic Cricket Flour as one of its ingredients. The brand, from Canadian company Entomo Farms, has several new cheese puffs that they say are “actually” good for you.

On the bright side, at least you now know what birthday and Christmas gifts to buy for your Trudeau/Singh fanboys & fangirls!

  1. I’m not that worried about this. Leftists typically tire of foods that they can’t masturbate with.

  2. Yup! I second that, so….yuck yuck!
I am hoping to see the bugs that are devouring the flesh of certain dead politicians and civil servants though!
    Um…Not advocating, just wishing n’ hoping 🙂

    1. Actually it has been found that crickets will devour flesh under the right circumstances.
Maybe better to feed them to the crows.

  3. I can’t help that my imagination presents the following scenario in some back room meeting at the Bilderberg Grouping:

Oligarch #1: “So…what’s your project? Remember, it has to be instituted by a vast majority of Western Nations. And, you can’t just go out there and pay people to institute it. You have to convince them to accept your project voluntarily.”

Oligarch #2: (small smile) “I’m going to get them to eat bugs and like it. Health benefits…environmental issues? I haven’t decided yet. Maybe a combination of both and if I can somehow create the perception of food shortages and supply issues…all the better. That’s within the rules…isn’t it?”

Oligarch #1: (hearty laugh) Bugs!!! Fantastic. Bugs. I’m surprised no one thought of that one before. Gosh, I thought Ole Klaus was inspired with that men can get pregnant schlock. But, when you come down to it that was only a regurgitation of talking points and riling up the proper sub groups. (chuckle) Bugs. (shakes head) This is going to be a fun one. I can tell.

  4. Since much of marketing is all about sex, perhaps the stuff would sell well if it had aphrodisiac properties. I can think of a number of slogans that could be used to promote it like that…..

  5. Try and feed people bugs? Then we should turn those people into bug food. Look before they become bug food.

  6. I guess I can scratch cheese snacks off my list of treats, not that I eat a lot of them anyway.

  7. Entomo secured funding from “Canadian and Asian investors.” Heh.
Among the Canadian investors is Maple Leaf Foods.

    1. Maple Leaf has gone to the dogs in the last 20 years. They bought Schneider’s and ruined that brand too.

    1. It’ll get hidden in plain sight in the “may contain” part of the ingredients list, for example, try to get frozen hamburger patties that don’t have “may contain” soy.

  8. L – Trudeau, the petulant tyrant, “They’ll eat insects, when they are good and hungry enough, and Canadians will be happy to do so.” excerpt from his speech renaming Agriculture Canada to: Holodomor Canada.

  9. Give it a couple of years and people who scoff at the idea of eating bugs will be labeled extremists who are complicit in the destruction of the planet. Very, very bad people.

    1. Within a few years people will be marrying their dogs and anyone who disagrees will be labelled Fidofondlerphobic. Prove me wrong (preferably with a nice big chunk of space rock entering the atmosphere above Toronto at 40 000 mph).

  10. Hey they’re ORGANIC!

We know who needs to be forced to eat them by default. The same ecoloon, hippie, fake meat brigade will line up willingly to slurp up the larvae, antenna and assorted effluent.
Anyone want a side a fried cockroach a la mode to finish? It’s ORGANIC!

  11. So, when I’m driving my truck on the highway and I see a kamikaze bug going ker-splat! on the windshield, I’m supposed to consider it lunch?

  12. send a bunch to your favorite politicos.

put your return address on the envelope.

when they come to arrest you for biological threats.

just tell them to read the bug menu.

You were actually sending the politicos a balanced diet

  13. Trudeau and Jackmeat fans? You mean 70% of Canada will be eating bugmeat Christmas pies?

    1. Oh wait … Nevermind only 5% of Canadians are Christian and celebrate the Holiday … Right?

  14. Kosher certified food is guaranteed to be bug free. No help for your pork rinds or cheeseburgers, mind.

  15. 20 kph. 12 mph.
I can run faster than that, and I’m over 50 with a bum leg, but hey, its da rulz!!!
I’d love to see the face of one of the aholes who likes this kinda thing when their kid comes home with a speeding ticket, that is, in the unlikely event that they’re not all helicopter parents who force their kids to wear a helmet.

  16. If you have to say it’ actually food, it actually really isn’t. Justin and Jagmeet and their globalist pals can go first.

  17. They began selling food that contain crickets in the province of Quebec about 2 years ago.

At a nice food store called Pasquier ( that I like, I have nothing against that food store ) they were selling bread and chocolate bars that contain crickets.
Don t know if they still do.

But knowing what I know of French Quebecers, I would not be surprised if they made crickets part of their daily diet.

    The province of Quebec, mostly Montreal city is kind of like California ;
lots of pink and green haired angry feminists,
lots of Antifa and BLM sympathisers with face tattoos and face piercings,
lots of people driving Teslas or Toyota Prius,
lots of people on bicycles dressed as if they were in the Tour de France and who hate cars and petrol,
lots of naive people who think the planet is warming so fast we will be under water within 10 years,
lots of people who hate Americans especially Republicans and who still think Trump is a Russian agent,
lots of very under informed people,

and so on and so forth

    my point being,
many French Quebecers are the type who would eat insects and be happy to.

  18. Here’s a lovely thing about crickets. My dil hates squishing bugs. They had one in the house and she tossed it in the toilet. While later there was a worm floating in there. Led us to some googling. Apparently most crickets have a parasite that when they die, leaves their body. Very appetizing.

  19. We have an appreciation of crickets, they often loudly announce their presence in our home. They are quite benign and almost friendly. Living in a rural area we are blessed with a healthy population of toads ,frogs, snakes and birds which all love a crunchy cricket snack.Crickets being omivores offered us a deal. They eat the crumbs off my kitchen floor thus we need not use our telsa swiffer as often making my home even more “green” and they avoid becoming dinner. Win Win.
Should we ever feel compelled to seek crickets as a food source they must be free range, organic, grass fed etc….and we must be insanely short on protein….naugh we aint eating crickets……going for squirels. This message is endoresed Jiminy Cricket!

  20. Crawling animals are listed in the Bible as forbidden food. Any packaged food with a kosher symbol is certified free of insects, worms, reptiles, etc.

    Now you know.
