    *Disclaimer – yeah, they’ve got serious issues; several of which can be laid at politically-malleable Commissioner Lucki’s door. But in memory of Constable Heidi Stephenson and in honour of all RCMP officers who’re good people just trying to do a difficult and thankless job, I’m prepared to cut the RCMP a tiny bit of slack in the Portapique case.

  6. Gerald has just acquired some new enemies. While an unaffiliated citizen can have opinions, this man does have affiliations. This criticism can be misconstrued as policy, or policy in the works. Of course, the office politics of Praetorians and Caesar are usually unknown to the little people at the time, but they are there. How many factions? Who has what tomahawk to grind? Everyone with pensions accruing, and future job prospects down stream. Ouch! Now in the shade of Gerald. Some new powerful enemies for Gerald, unlike the ignorables of the freedumb convoy. Who they are, what resources they have, who knows? Merely, they exist, and are motivated now.

    Also, for those bought and paid for journo assets, this is a targeting order. Big scoops for journo hunting Mountie scalp! And if a given journo does not play the tune, this is disloyalty. Double problem for journo. Those who scoop the Mounties now have a new enemy, too. Not an enemy you want in this day and age of journo’s needing protection from the peasants. Of course, the Mounties never do false flag stuff, especially against journos who have put a tomahawk into their pension or police chief ambitions.

    Gerald is a smart guy. This is a bold move. Good for him.

        The nature and character of The Brass becomes important. Are they capable of defence? Can they mount a counter-offensive? Resources? Logistics? Secret society combinations?     Of course that’s even after taking into the account of the RCMP’s “Mr. Big” tactic, better known as entrapment.

  14. Keep in mind the longer-term strategy here. This is Bezmenov demoralization at play: by simultaneously attacking the police forces publicly while paramilitarizing and politicizing them behind the scenes, they force the eventual targets of those police forces into reflexively defending them.

    The purpose of the Derek Chauvin trial wasn’t scalp-hunting; it was to make police reform impossible by forcing both sides into uncompromisable extremist positions.

  17. Following the massacre all the top cops involved received promotion. This is the rcmp way of covering their ass by saying, “well done lads”. It sends the signal that they did everything right. That’s how Command roles.

    The rcmp is now unionized. They have critical staff shortages and are under constant criticism for their incompetence. They have hundreds of millions in law suits against them. They are beligured and reputationally battered.

    The Nova Scotia rcmp are feeling emboldened and are not going to take it in the shorts for Ottawa. They are fighting back. There is a war going on between the rcmp rank and file and Ottawa Command.

    In an unheard move the rcmp rank and file have stood up and torpedoed Commissioner Lucki. Her career is over. The libranos have undoubtedly planned her exit ( maybe by this weekend).

    This situation goes right up to the Bong. He tried to capitalize on the killings by forcing the rcmp to release information on the type of firearms used by the killer – in order to introduce more gun legislation. The rcmp refused to divulge what type of guns were used. Lucki ( in and attempt to curry favor with the Bong) tried to coerce the rank and file to release the information during the investigation. They refused.

    The libranos ( the Bong and Bill Blair) have a wicked fight on their hands with the rcmp.

    So, enter fixer Gerry Butts. Schmooze the rcmp. Make nice. Maybe we ( the libranos) can smooth this over with only Brenda Lucki having to take the high jump.

    This is a highly scripted calculation. Damage control at PhD levels. We wouldn’t want to lose a cabinet minister over this would we? Or a prime minister….

    Stay tuned. You don’t often seen a cat fight at this level with these consequences.

  20. Gerry isn’t wrong. You can’t trust any police these days. They are water carriers for their political masters at best, roided out college drop outs with bad attitudes and guns at worst. Just a government sanctioned gang.

    1. If I can’t trust the police, it is no small comfort to me that the government can’t trust them either. and that the police can’t trust the government.
