Well, that and the fact that apparently when you go from daytime (solar and wind) to nighttime (whatever the hippies use there on the Left Coast), it creates a power surge…which added to the non-repairs and the non-maintenance of the area around the power lines…poof! And I don’t mean the San Fran kind.
Why do you need tax revenue?
Just print more money.
Debt at all levels of government and on a worldwide scale is totally un repayable thus completely bankrupt and yes, the system is currently kept afloat by money printing.
The reason now for increasing taxes is the globalist agenda of independent middle class destruction for total government dependence down the road.

for some time now Ive described world economy as a gigantic all encompassing ponzi scheme, and the ‘goods’ being marketed is debt, debt and more debt.

Well, as they make a loss without subsidies …
obviously the answer is a “gross revenue tax”

And the people of California keep electing and re electing this pigs, over and over again. They deserve everything they have coming to them.
Just wait until the solar panels go bad in 10-15 years and the “Environmentally Aware Green Company” abandons them, the concrete anchors and all the other wires and infrastructure. Do the states require bonds for the removal of all that stuff? And after a few years of this inflation, will the bonds even cover 1/10 of the actual costs?
I ask this because it is the anniversary of Saint George Floyd’s Beatification two years ago, and the 600 or so burnt out businesses and owners rudely found out their business insurance did not even cover a fraction of the costs of demolition and clearing their lots.
Rural California is Deep Red Republican, and also outnumbered by the huge blue cities of LA, San Francisco, Sacramento, and San Diego. Just another way to hurt CA Republican cities and counties.

However … when Gov. DeSantis eliminates a wokester Disney Corp’s. tax freebies … Disney threatens taxpayers with massive tax increases.
Yet more proof that environmental solutions require multi layers of subsidy and waivers to compete with bad old hydro-carbon systems. And in the end it is often debatable whether the environmental solution provides any benefit.
My PG&E rates went UP 22% last year … with the promise of another 22% this year. But of course the PUC … who is supposed to PROTECT the consumer … will approve every rate increase. Why? Because it is all cloaked in the promise of a “clean, green future” …
Can one put up a solar panel on a California property and be exempt from property taxes?
Fortunately Kelo has already solved this: those counties can use eminent domain to seize those fields and turn them into tax-paying farms.
