      I think that he’s a Federalist. He would have had to make significant changes to the Government’s approach, particularly in dealing with the demagogues in Ottawa.       A million people voted for the UCP in the last election. Whomever becomes the new leader would do well to find out their true mood and act in support of that. Send the money men and the political grifters packing.

        I attended a TBA meeting a couple months back. While I think they have some good ideas, their execution needs work. They present as a bit unorganized. One thing they did note was that, as Albertan’s, we need to write up a list of priorities & support the candidate that promises the most. While that’s not without its risks, it seems like a fair starting point. We’ll have to see who throws their hat into the ring. I won’t be voting for any of the urban MLA’s if they run, as they were the bastards pushing the lockdowns and their constituents are largely the ones still wearing masks.

        The media is a problem. The smart among us will ignore them. The gullible? Fug ’em. They’re not on our side anyway.

        One suggestion I read recently is that rural Albertans should create their own party that would hold the balance of power vs urban centers. It’s something that bears consideration & discussion.

        I quite like the Policy & Governance statement of WIPA, but, like you say, separation is a stretch. There are far too many people who aren’t comfortable taking that step. I guess they haven’t been fcuked over enough, yet. Education of the voter is the key. We need to make the point crystal clear: there is only one way out of this, for ourselves, our parents & our children & our grandchildren.

    So when government panics,you have no rights and govt has absolute power…

    Gee I cannot imagine why government is in a perpetual state of panic..

    Imagine a bunch of second rate trough feeders,suddenly called upon to perform the tasks they claimed to be “Like Totally qualified” for..

    Oh right,no imagination needed,we just lived two years of it.
