As you get closer to the areas where federal seats are concentrated around government capitals the motivation to have law enforcement to keep the rabble from upsetting the voters within a six block is very intense compared to how the laws are enforced when it’s within the boundaries of a very large remote riding that most could never locate on a map.
When a country was created on the premise of preserving government, the government is very motivated to use all the levers of its authority to be preserved and doing the minimum to preserve the nation.

The local RCMP are paid for by local or provincial governments. BC is run by greens, white collar public sector unions, academics and their own version of the Indian industry. Pipelines are the devil to these green theologists. I suspect they know who is involved (an undercover Indian could ferret out that info in a couple of days). The “investigation” is mere theatre to pacify the gullible.
