1. I remember passing by it several times. I didn’t realized it was no more.

   1. It has been used as a set in some television series just as Mirabel Airport was used as a set for that Tom Hanks movie from the late 1990’s.
      Everything has its “best by” date. Actors have between 10-20 years (unless they are British and can morph into character roles); careers (usually you are at the top in your 30’s and 40’s), and locations. First you are “hot” and then you are “not”.

2. to think of the 100s of billions siphoned off from the family budgets, business investments, health care etc up the wazoo that is necessary to justify the expenditures to build these paces.
   THAT in my estimation is the sad part. l am delighted to see the places rot and crumble.

3. I still get stunned and amused at the casino also known as McCarran, err Harry Reid airport in Vegas. Funny thing though … there are no signs that exclaim “loosest slots in Vegas”. No, I am certain they’re the tightest slots in Vegas. Might as well call them … Virgin slots.
