  1. I burst into tears reading this. After decades of pulling on my heartstrings, and further decades of pulling on the purse strings, this useful telemarketing ploy has been shown to be a craven, political grift.

      1. And we must change our social media avatars to show we support the cause.

      2. Judgement call. You don’t want to come across as trendy. You want to come across as “caring” without having to do anything. It’s a personal self-esteem issue. Too many inane actions showing support can sometimes undo all your efforts. Why, just other day I overdid it with the ribbons and one of the safety pins snagged my gaberdine sweater. I hope these ingrates appreciate the sacrifices I’m making on their behalf. Sometimes I think it’s all for naught, and then my spirits are uplifted when someone sees my ribbon in the organic food section at Whole Foods, and it’s all worth it.

We’re going to change the world!!!!

      3. Candles and some baby shoes … a whole pile of shoes … and maybe one of those plastic wrist thingies and some rainbow cross walks …. HA HA HA

  2. May I suggest that people with puffy-bodies … NOT … wear puffy-sleeves !?

    You’re chubby, not a hero.

If the only things you attract are weirdos and Japanese trawling captains, you’re doing something wrong.
