  1. Yep, hadn’t even hit halfway & got shown the door. Maybe they didn’t like the fact that I identified as a giraffe…

      1. Thx! 🙂 With an Inuit background who practiced Frisbeetarianism, no less…

    1. I was thinking of responding Ice Flow, or some such but didn’t, so I got further into the joke.

  2. Using state power to combat a human emotion that is built into all humans.
Bestest idea ever, if you’re an evil despot.

  3. I gave the survey straight answers on the demographics, then a “no” on the question asking whether combatting hate should be the government’s priority. It then sent me to a comment box to explain my view, and my response was that “the government has no ability to recognize hate” and that “combatting hate is totalitarian and oppressive.” It accepted my answer and let me go on my way.

Now that I think about it, though, the totalitarian-and-oppressive thing might be seen by some of our betters as a feature rather than a bug.

    1. Exactly the same experience for me. My answer in the comment box was ‘Canada has more important problems to fix’. Maybe I will try again as a disabled black agnostic lesbian and see how far I get.

      1. Well that worked. I got right to the good questions, which I didn’t even bother to read, let alone answer. My gag reflex was getting worked up. What a farce.

      2. I went in as a Métis and got the why do you think this way . I said rampant hatred only exists in the minds of intellectuals.

    2. I did the same and it looks like they have corrected this. I got all the way through. They must know that people are on to them.

    3. I said that ‘hate’ was a human emotion and as such was in all of us. You can’t “combat” hate anymore than foster love… they just happen now and forever.

I’ve heard Christia Freeland on multiple occasions refer to Canada and Canadians as “a garden.” It just infuriates me that these assholes literally think we’re a project or something.

    4. I did the same but said I thought the Federal Government had more important things to do than to try to control people’s emotions.

  4. The whole thing is engineered to get the result they want.

Mr. Holmes, there is distinct deficiency of dung.

      1. About that missile cruiser, you might want to check the Pentagon’s statement on that one.

“We’re not quite exactly sure what happened here. We do assess that there was an explosion — at least one explosion on this cruiser — a fairly major one at that, that has caused extensive damage to the ship,” Kirby said.
Kirby said the damaged Russian warship is afloat and “making her own way across the Black Sea.”

And that’s from CNN and the war mongers.

  5. I was born in this country, so that makes me indigenous. Any other definition is racism.

  6. Perhaps the more people who get kicked out will set off an alarm somewhere. But probably not.

  7. My clever plan to combat hate involves voting and campaigning to get rid of this Liberal/NDP parliamentary pestilence. Once the main purveyors of societal division and intolerance are removed from office hate ought to decline significantly. Of course Liberal and NDP candidates utterly hate the thought of losing the perks of elected office and will launch repeated salvos of lies and untruths to scare ordinary folks into maintaining them in parliament.

Journalists will support Grit/NDipper candidates because the media companies who employ media types are bought and paid for by Trudeau with taxpayer money and because most journalists think themselves to be enlightened progressives far superior to troglodyte voters. Progressives believe their passionate hatred ordinary working class Canadians is morally acceptable hatred because the working class hold “unacceptable views.”

The hatred is particularly venomous when directed towards Albertans.

  8. I told them I was a Westinghouse Toaster.
That took me up to the point as to why they (the government) should not combat hate. I told them they were making an issue out of something that does not exist. The next page said Thank you.

  9. Said no to the the govt combatting hate and asked why and then done.
Everybody I know has only experienced hate (less freedoms) from their own CD govts. Get your own house in order before judging everybody else.
Wish I would have identified as a lesbian Metis…….

  10. Many taxpayers are now struggling to pay for their utilities and to put gas in their vehicle and food on their table, yet this is the garbage these thieving bastards are focused on. If there’s a nuclear war I hope Ottawa gets vaporized.

  11. I identify as a four year old girl. Transitioning of course. That way I don’t have to wear a mask and can get on the girl’s swim team. I figure even at my age I have a chance. Of course I will have to transition back to a sixties male once in a while to buy cigars and beer. Life is complicated.

  12. How do you know if it let you finish? I answered a bunch of questions and it said, “Thank you.” I identified as a unicorn and a Bokononist and asked if it would still be okay to hate fascists that behave like the PM. Oh and also Brussel sprouts.

  13. My contribution was to add a comment that if they wanted to combat hate they needed to start with the PMO.

  14. I told them I was gay but they bounced me when I said the reason the government should not be involved in fighting it is that is something for individuals and families and that governments are really bad at for example we have a Primr Minuster who regularly spews hate and disdain for his fellow citizens. That’s when I got bounced.

  15. And don’t forget about all the high-priced bureaucrats who schemed to put this together. I, like others was turfed about 40% in. What a frigging expensive joke.

    1. I just filled out the queerstionaire again, this time as a 25-ish, gay, BC, Iranian, etc. Got thru, beyond the previous level and filled the rest with effing expletives, also suggesting where they could stuff their “survey”. Great satisfaction.

  16. I got turfed when I said combating hatred is negative and will not succeed.
Would think they’d learn from their endless wars on poverty, drugs, covid, etc.

  17. There’s no Thou Shalt Not Hate commandment. Pride is one of the seven deadly sins yet there are millions of Pride yard signs everywhere I go. Unless you’re lazy, lustful, angry, greedy, envious or eat too much too, hate doesn’t seem to be a sin at all.

      1. I remember Frank Zappa testifying before Al and Tipper Gore’s committee to regulate the record industry with warning labels etc. He said something to the effect (reduced and paraphrased) that seemingly violent or hateful songs were unlikely to actually hurt anyone or cause anyone to hurt someone but that romantic love songs that created unreasonable expectations were truly dangerous to young people. Heh, gimme those hate songs!

        1. Yup. That is why Frank never wrote love songs, except, maybe, crew slut or catholic girls. Thanks for reminding me of his moment with Tipper. Heh!

          1. “Camarillo Brillo” is a love song. I’d love to start a Zappa tribute band called Sears Poncho.

  18. This was just to gin-up justification to eventually censor all non-approved speech. Hate speech laws were the gate that gave them their trojan entry. There is absolute free speech or (eventually) no free speech. Those that quibble about no absolute and then bring up the silly analogy about no right to yell fire in a crowded theatre are the useful idiots of the state censors. Hate speech, if there is such a thing, is likely the most important type of speech as it exposes deeply held beliefs or opinions which need to be appreciated, debated, discarded, or simply heard. Despite the leftist use of racism under new management (identity politics and its post modern variants), no one has the right not to be offended by speech or the written word. Speech is there to be scrutinized by all and judged on merit or reason. The institutional left has gone full-tilt authoritarian despot and no longer has any residual (classical) liberalism in their group-think bubble. The Canadian government along with most government at all levels are becoming enemies of free speech and liberty.

  19. Accepted my answers. I identified as Samsonite.
Government protecting one favored group encourages hate against all others

Edit. Looks like failed after all. Didn’t get any of the questions screenshotted in the Twitter post.

  20. According to the liberal government, hate crimes can only be committed by white people against visible minorities primarily new liberal immigrant voters

  21. Had fun. I identify as “a small fringe minority with unacceptable views”. But, boy, oh, boy! There is some seriously scary stuff in those proposals, in this age of “slippery slopes”.

  22. I thought I was playing it pretty much honestly, but when I suggested the government should have priorities which parallel the desires of the voters, I got the boot.
Which tells me something about our government.

  23. Keep jamming up the works with fake entries.

They’ll have to shut down this absurdity if enough people call themselves black transgender standing mixers who practise Lutheranism.

  24. I am a member of paid survey panels, so I would never do something like this without a pittance of payment. I wonder if this will show up in any of my panels.

  25. First try gave honest answers and was booted. Second try I was indigenous queer etc. etc. and got to the scary parts. I told them I was a member of the Truck Fudeau band and that got by. Best thing about this survey is exposing the totalitarian thinking of these doofuses.
