  3. My, absolute, favorite accent isn’t officially British, but is sort of in that region. If you ever saw the movie “Snatch”, it was a Guy Richie flick. It’s worth a watch just to listen to Brad Pitt’s accent. But, it’s also a very enjoyable flick. He’s supposed to be and Irish Traveller (aka a Pikey). However, Pitt went a little bit over the edge and it’s nearly unintelligible. You end up concentrating so completely on what Pitt is saying that you can’t help but become engrossed in the movie. It’s so over the top, that the other characters in the movie and Richie actually made it a running joke because they, also, had trouble understanding him.

    4. I remember taking my 10 year old daughter to see this at the large screen cinemas at the Beaches in Toronto. She and I had absolutely no problem understanding Brad Pitt’s character as he was speaking Newfie, which we both understand.

E.g., the pro-Liberal CTV news carried a story on August 5 about the Christian coalition inviting Canadian Jews to the U.S. But CTV will now censor that Trump will now facilitate more such immigration. The Media Blob so far has censored that Jews are fleeing to the U.S. in increasing numbers.

    Sam Cooper describes how Canada’s left is planning a counter-conference to Mark Carney’s Septrmber 14th Invest Canada conference. Carney endorses the Ring of Fire mining development in northern Ontario, given the need tor strategic metals. But China, radical aboriginal groups and progressive groups oppose the development. Cooper mentions that one affiliated group, World Beyond War Canada, receives China and George Soros money.

    Look for the corporate media to cover both the Liberal Invest Canada conference and the far-left counter-conference, and censore any conservative critiques (e.g. Invest Canada patronage and kickbacks).

    James Howard Kunsler offers a funny read on Carney wanting to strengthen ties with his jolly Britain. Actually, beyond his jokes, cconservatives in Canada would do well researching Carney’s personal ties to U.K.’s power elites. There’s a lot there to uncover.

  13. The Globe and Mail, under a paywall, is reporting that Doug Guzman, head of the Defence Investment Ag,is resigning, given his frustration over the slow bureaucratic process to get anything approved. The stated purpose of the DIA is to get high-value defence projects approved quickly.

    Note that there is no grassroots lobby group in Canada — conservative or otherwise — advocating for increased defence spending. This is one reason why we have such a weak and poorly-run military. One issue that comes up often is that the defence bureaucracy in Ottwwa deliberately delays and stonewalls defence procurement. One wonders why the bureaucracy has such a treasonous posture, but they do. There is no grassroots group opposing the treason. And anybody connected to the military do not seem to care. Interestingly, the Liberal Blob and other elites have never made the the connection between our laughable military and Trump’s anger at Canada.

      1. Nice of Hegseth to take time off drinking and raping. Cadet Instructors, while commissioned officers, are incidental to the Armed Forces but aren’t really part of it. They are babysitting volunteers, looking after other peoples’ kids. They have a very limited number of paid days so no-one is doing it for profit. The only military thing cadets do is drill and officers really don’t do much drill. And camping. They quit shooting after someone pulled the pin on a live grenade at a meeting 30 or so years ago and killed something like 6 cadets.

    Dems running for election in 2026 want absolutely nothing to do with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. The Gateway Pundit recently reported on how this is happening in Iowa, but it is happening all over the place. Dems are avoiding Biden and Harris like the plague.

    Marcus Coleman, the father of a 7 year old girl left disabled by trucker Partap Singh, testified before Congress today. Singh, an illegal, was issued a California CDL and destroyed the lives of this child and her family.
    Too bad Coleman’s testimony was falling on deaf ears.
