  2. I never imagined to see such an absolute disconnect from our mainstream media’s and politicians corrupted ways to the freight train of reality that will be happening. Cheap monetary policies that have inflated Canada’s economy to the reality that real goods are needed and our politicians have no clue on what products are created from or how they’re made. Many companies no longer exist as the supplies are imported.

    This house off cards will collapse spectacularly very shortly as infrastructure breaks and are not available.

Canada is a country that is about to be hit with the realization that our credit card is maxed out and no one will give us another one. Debt is killer of individuals, companies and governments. It takes longer with a government but it does happen.

  6. Liberals and NDP do not care about small businesses. They prefer businesses that have unionized employees. Why?

    a) Unions will generally campaign for Liberals and New Democrats.

    b) union advertising will be anti-conservative candidates. This effectively allows circumvention of election spending restrictions.

    c) unions are run buy left wing activists that will usually support the Liberal/NDP social agenda. While many (most?) union members have a wide variety of political views, only the left wing activist types run for union offices. Most of the rank and file have more important things to do than union campaigning.

  8. I was having this same feeling yesterday. I’m getting ready to start my field season and costing some upcoming work. Jet A fuel is up 50% for bulk, 100% for drums. Insurance is up 28%. One of our trucks has a problem with the DEF fluid pump (it’s a recall on 2020 GMCs). Don’t drive advised GMC but they don’t have any parts in stock to repair. So I have the world’s most useless rental truck (too small, can’t tow, supposed to be a crew-cab – more like kiddie-cab). Motels and food up 50% over last year and last year was up about 20% from the year before. The crews complain about the motels because they don’t have anyone available to clean the rooms. In some cases the crew shows up and the beds aren’t made and bathrooms not cleaned.

    And then there’s taxes. Don’t get me started on taxes.

    1. I’ve mentioned on previous occasions that, during my trips to and from my house in B. C., I pass through a number of towns. I noted how things changed from when I first drove that route 5 years ago to what I’ve seen in recent months. Parking lots beside motels and cafes are mostly empty now and there are lots of “For Sale” signs on various buildings and properties.

      I’m sure that it’s going to become much worse very soon.

      1. The fraud that was and continues to be the whu who flu sure did screw up the country. Yet where I live a new house will increase in price by over 200k in twenty months. A military friend of my wife just sold their house, pre transfer and new posting. They paid $365k about five years ago, sold for just under $800k. We are looking at $100k increases per year. That is nuts. When this bubble pops there will be some some very sad people out there.

      2. I think any time you see this sort of thing you need to ask, is this a bug or a feature? The globalist game plan is to drive everyone into urban pod life, serviced by corporate drones and paid for by UBI. This is a fact. Independent businesses, farmers and ranchers are not part of this plan. Small town life likewise. First step is to inflate prices so much no one can afford to live outside the pod. High fuel costs are especially effective because of distances. Modern small town life is based on cheap gas.

    1. That does not work as someone has to produce the wealth that can be taxed. Taking back part of what the government has already “given” us is not going to put a dime in government coffers. They are increasing the money supply by leaps and bounds and borrowing the rest.

First, the government sent me my pogey cheque, which, because I was unemployed at the time and actively looking for work (thank you very much PET and Mulruin), I was entitled to.   15. Countries going down this path eventually have to enact laws that make it difficult for people to move themselves and their assets out to more people and business friendly jurisdictions (and states, see California).

    Governments can do this physically by building walls and shooting people who leave or more subtlety by denying them mobility rights and travel documents (vaccination status?). Governments can also use tax laws to strip people of their wealth before leaving and/or an impossible obstacle course of regulations and bureaucracy. If that doesn’t work, next comes full blown capital controls that explicitly denies asset transfers out of the country.

    How far Canada is along this path is up for debate but I think the Trudeau Liberal and Singh NDP alliance will follow the slowly, slowly…then a massively quick legislative attack….to stop the movement of people and assets moving out of Canada. I expect this will happen once you see an uptick in Canada’s government owned journalists attacking those who are wanting to leave Canada as unpatriotic, right wing, racist, misogynists bearing maga hats and Confederate flags.

    I also pounded on the fact that CBC had to retract their lies about funding and Russians.
    One thing that seems to get their attention is when I ask them if they like it when the Canadian media deliberately lie to them to try to get them to hate other people.
    Do they like it when the media lies to them to try to get them to hate you?
