    2. Back in the early sixties a Docu Drama film was made in the UK, about what would occur following a nuclear attack. Cannot remember the name but it was so realistic and upsetting they banned it. I watched it in a small Toronto foreign film theatre in the mid sixties and I remember at the end there was silence and nobody got up to leave. Wonder if it is still available.

    1. I will have to disagree if you’re suggesting that Russia was facing impending invasion from Ukraine.
      The fact remains that Russia was, and still is, the aggressor.
      As for the rest of your post, I don’t think race is much of a factor in this situation.

        1. Interesting. It’s true that I haven’t considered that. They were hitting East Ukraine pretty hard before Russia took action, but is that enough justification for Russia to attack civilian targets and infrastructure? I’m still reeling over that missile hit on a city bus.

          1. Stop standing on a fence. This is really simple. Pootin jumpstarted war in Chechnya to establish himself as a leader. Pootin invaded Georgia to boost his popularity. Pootin invaded Crimea to boost his popularity again. Pooitin invaded Ukraine to… well why do you think? Except that this time he miscalculated. That’s all.

        2. Donetsk and Luhansk are parts of Ukraine, hence by definition Ukrainians could not invade what is theirs. Putting down Kemlin financed terrorists in those areas is just a police operation. And no, they were not planning it.

          Besides, Pootin invaded Ukraine to turn in her into a puppet state, into Belarus 2.0, Donetsk and Luhansk were just a manufactured pretext.

  21. Here’s my happy contribution for a change.

    Our new neighbors’ (and our new friends – amazing people) kids are going to be selling hot dogs outside today soon. Sweet. I’ll let you all know how much of a kickback the Liberal Party is getting.

    To pre-burn my hot dog calories, I jogged 40 minutes yesterday. I’m still getting in shape so I wasn’t fast but I did go a little far. Whenever I run now, I keep thinking how many Canadians would simply die if they tried the same simple act. I’m literally healthier than 60 to 70% of Canadians will be in their remaining lifetimes. The vast majority of those though are my oppressors and their families….so I’m good.

  24. Spring’s definitely here….. finally. I just observed two rabbits in the courtyard of my apartment complex and I noticed that one of them was distinctly changing colour.

    There are enough bare spots on the lawn that the two of them are busy feeding.
