Another J.B. Peterson Warning

Back in 2016, Professor Jordan Peterson warned us all about the dangers of Bill C-16. He was mocked by the Usual Suspects as being paranoid and exaggerating. But his predictions proved to be true.

He’s now warning of a new one, Ontario Bill 67, which he predicts will be even worse. It firmly establishes Critical Race Theory in Kindergarten through Grade 12. This bill was authored by Laura May Lindo. In case you’ve forgotten, she was the Director of the Diversity office at Wilfrid Laurier just before the Lindsay Shepherd affair.

Here’s a great discussion with Jordan Peterson, Barbara Kay, Bruce Pardy and David Haskell. And, finally, here’s an excellent analysis by Benjamin Boyce.

      1. Both are helpful, Jim and JD. The other side of it is that Video pieces are great if one has to simultaneously work with one’s hands and do double duty. Also, they’re easier on the eyes. So, thank you Robert, keep up the good work.

        1. I’m not opposed to videos, but I also believe that primary sources (in this case the legislation) is important to have so that you know exactly what they are talking about. It also helps when you use the primary source instead of the talking points that often misrepresent what is actually in the bill. (I’m also not arguing that is something the videos are doing, but it happens often enough)

          1. There’s perfection in your reply. You are a gentleman and a scholar and I agree with your point. Thank-you JD.

  1. Wondering how much room Alberta has.
I’m a retired old guy and don’t take up much space.

    1. Depends where you look. Not in Calgary or the People’s Caliphate of Redmonton.

  2. Huh, seems like they missed a few, a little light on the definition of “anti-racism” and more than a little far reaching to describe Racism. Thought Police, where’s the Asteroid?

    17.1 (1) In this section,

“anti-racism” means the policy of opposing racism including anti-Indigenous racism, anti-Black racism, anti-Asian racism, antisemitism and Islamophobia; (“lutte contre le racisme”)

“racism” means the use of socially constructed ideas of race to justify or support, whether consciously or subconsciously, the notion that one race is superior to another. (“racisme”)

    1. once again, islam is not a race by any definition, but of course they want to use the muslim brotherhood definition of “racism”

  3. Back to committee, unlikely to be heard in the House before it rises for the election, so this will die on the order paper.

  4. Good gawd, Ford has gone full dipper these days. What isn’t deemed racist via the leftwing lunatics-oh being anti-semetic is okay right liberals?

  5. Peterson is a smart guy. Why is it he cannot see the direct connection between the Ukraine “crisis” and Western (WEF) governments unrelenting power grab, from the WooFloo, to Emergency Powers, to this? It goes to prove that no one is perfect. Maybe Tucker Carlson is, though not as eloquent and well-read, a bit more prescient than the old professor.

    1. Soros said the USA must remove Putin from power.

Knowing what we know of Soros, how he supports and finances everything that is anti-conservative, anything that is anti-white or anti-white-male, how he uses his money to harm right wing politicians, how he gave money to BLM and Antifa, this makes me think Putin might be right more than I had realized..

        1. Huh? Soros was unhappy that his fellow communists squashed a movement for individual liberty? Were you the class clown in European History 101, or just high on weed the whole time?

  6. Laura May Lindo

another name to be added to the already long list of females who as soon as they obtain power become tyrannical.

  7. Shut it down. The education establishment is destroying human minds. Encouraging kids to read books like “To Kill A Mockingbird” is far better than empowering the institutional left and their chemically deterministic racism-under-new-management meme to accelerate the nihilism that is hollowing out the culture. Who needs the NDP when you have the Ontario Conservatives to act on their behalf.

  8. Your Tax Dollars at work, the Government has the CBC doing their fair share on the topic…. from the web:
If you want to have a better understanding of what systemic racism was — and is — all about, this new series “The Porter” delivers.

Beginning on Monday, Feb. 21 at 9 p.m., CBC Television will broadcast the world premiere of “The Porter”. Taking place in the post-war 1920s and set primarily in Montreal’s Little Burgundy neighbourhood, as well as Chicago and Detroit, this eight-episode series tells the story of a group of Black railway porters who fought to form North America’s first Black labour union.

“The Porter” is also available for streaming the same day on CBC Gem.

Here’s the Monteal Gazette’s featured article about this series which was was filmed in Winnipeg:

    1. My wife grew up in Montreal, Rosemont, and even if it was a melting pot of all nations and colours it still had racism. She was actually dating a black fella, but her mom, who grew up in New Brunswick, told her to stop because that wasn’t right.

So yeah, we had racism here too. Watching old 70-80’s rugby matches on and not a dark skin among the teams.

      1. I live out West now but was born and raised in Montreal and also spent almost 20 years in N.B. I was part of that ’70s crowd that left when “le” mass exodus took place. Personally, ‘language barriers’ were always more of a pet peeve.

When the “Régie de la Langue Française” was created and they started bullying business owners, I was out of there in a N.Y. minute. (remember how they picked on “McKenna’s Flowers” about their outdoor sign?) By comparison N.B. was a breath of fresh air where mostly everyone is bilingual, if not tri-lingual.

In this day and age, isn’t the topic of one’s skin color irrelevant? Shouldn’t a person stand on his own character and goodwill towards men?

  9. This bill should be renamed the “Racial Studies” graduates full employment Act. Because all it does is create a massive Federal and Local bureaucracy … filled with racist bureaucrats.

  10. Education is obsolete and has been shelved. Government indocrination is now pre-eminent, and schools are nothing more than indoctrination centers.
