Gridlock on 495 (DC Beltway) is pretty much the normal rush hour traffic condition, wouldn’t take but a couple dozen trucks.
There are bottlenecks on the highways outside most Eastern cities where a handful of trucks “broken down” or in minor accidents can destroy a rush hour and delay much freight from getting in or out of that city.
There are many down in the lower forty eight suggesting the people’s convoy is controlled by agitators and provocateurs intent on creating a situation where a drastic government response will be viewed as needed and just (That our spotless FBI might orchestrate and do such? Perish the thought.).

Subject: non confidence vote
Good morning, I just called the number below and got right through. Just said I wanted a non confidence vote due to Justin Trudeau’s overreach and devisiveness. They asked how I got the number ( replied that it was a publicly available
number) and which province I was calling from. Not sure if it will do much good but gives her assistant something to do!
The Governor General has to give her Royal Assent before the Emergencies Act becomes law ( you wouldn’t know it with how the Prime Minister is rapidly setting in place every provision
available through the act.)
However she has stated that if she receives over 900,000 dissident voices, she will not sign the Emergencies Act into law.
We are asking that she NOT give her Royal Assent to the Emergencies Act and that she removes Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister. She is the ONLY person in Canada who has that power.
It was done in Australia a few years ago that the Governor General removed the Prime Minister.

Rita, I would really like this to be true, but you don’t understand Canadian Parliamentary system. The GG is merely a figurehead and has no real powers, just like the queen has no real power over the UK parliament.
If that was the case, why does the GG have sign off on a bill to make it law?
You have been convinced that the GG is only ceremonial when that office does have authority to order the PM to come to Rideau Hall and explain themselves if they get out of hand and if not satisfied issue the writ of election. The fear tactic the laurentian elite have depended on for generations is that this would cause a constitutional crisis because this supposed action by the GG would be over reach.

Thats a bit of an abridged explanation re King Byng – I believe that King was embroiled in controversy, and called an election – which ended up with the Conservatives of the day under Arthur Meighan, winning the most seats (but not an ourtright majority).

King refused to step down and instead formed government with the far left party of the day and Meighan was relegated to opposition despite having won the election. Then King decided to call another election – but Byng said no, that Meghan having won the election, deserved a chance to govern (hence the justification that the opposition can step in and form government without triggering an election).

I think the best thing to do would be to drive toward DC, but never enter. Just tour the States and add a little business to friendly businesses along the way. They can do their fencing and call the national guard in DC, and then no one actually shows up, kind of like the inauguration. We just know that if the truckers enter DC there will be some trap sprung on them.
Apparently there has already been a permit set for the Mall in DC (1st March, I heard). Really hoping these guys don’t get screwed.
