From Crisis To Opportunity

Don’t just curse the darkness — shine the headlights.

Saskatchewan could resolve our own shortage of truck drivers by becoming an Emergencies Act sanctuary province.

Simply offer to any truck driver currently parked in Ottawa, who has not been convicted of a violent act but loses their license or insurance due to civil disobedience on Parliament Hill, the opportunity  to relocate and be reinstated to drive by the Province of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Government Insurance.

Because mischief has never been more important than it is right now.

    1. Their base hates them. Walking back the restrictions in the face of protests hasn’t particularly changed that. Taking a hard stand against Trudeau’s martial law and actually showing some spine might.

  1. Though I live in Ontario, I enthusiastically second the motion. The idiots polluting my home province can starve for all I care.

    1. I honestly hope your Province is hit with critical shortages of EVERYTHING. Sorry. But there HAVE to be consequences to Fascist/Communism

  2. Hey I googled Canada News to see what the world was saying about our country today.

At the top of the news feed was the announcement of the federal government’s new immigration targets. Guess what? They are all up up up…through to 2024.

Almost half a mil “new canadians” every year.

The justification, if any such pretexts are required anymore, is that canada “relies on immigration to strengthen its labour force”.

    It’s all parody now.

    1. This is something I have wondered about. After a lifetime of shoveling snow, the South looks good. How does Wisconsin, or any northern tier state, maintain its population in the face of Snowbirds flocking south at retirement? These states have all kinds of infrastructure commitments and a significant public employee sector, including their pensions, to justify and support in the face of Boomer retirement and a declining tax base.

      1. The number of retirees who move to Florida relative to the states’ populations is small. The vast majority don’t move out of their states, but most who do are from blue states. Contrarily, my husband and I moved from NY state to the Midwest. His siblings are in Florida but we had no desire to move there (much as I like DeSantis). I can’t tell you how many other people I know do visit FL, as we do, but say, also as we do, “I wouldn’t want to live there.” Not everybody who lives in four-season climates likes essentially four-season summer, with high humidity.

        1. I took a tour of FL, AL, LA, TX … drove all along the Caribbean shoreline. I could NEVER live there. The humidity is effing oppressive. 5-steps on the sidewalk and I’m drenched in sweat. It is LITERALLY like living in a sauna 24/7. I would rather live in the icy North. Fewer crazy people too.

OTOH … I like walking the sidewalks of FL and Arizona State Univ. … because the girls (legal women) wear next to nothing. Sorry, my boys haven’t totally shriveled quite yet …

          1. I attended a few seminars in Florida a number of years back, Ft Myers area, gulf side. Heat uncomfortable, humidity brutal. I prefer the north, too. I can dress against the cold. I can’t undress enough against the heat.

    2. Wanna bet all those immigrants speak Cantonese?

Soon, all Canadians will only be “recognized” if they’re trilingual

  3. Buffalo.
    The new Western Nation.
The one with immense energy resources, food for all and people who know how to work.
And introduce some simple rules, like no government welfare and a limit on “Civil service numbers and terms.
Watch the stampede,of parasites to Ottawa.
Our own licensing system and the idiotic punishments are moot.

  4. Let’s not limit this to truckers, everyone that has the federal boot on their necks. How many would would move here if Sask and Alberta were carbon tax free zones. We have to move towards greater autonomy away from Ottawa, it’s time to show Canada the door.

    1. The initial reasons for off shoring manufacturing were cutting corners, dodging fair labor practices, getting around environmental regs, looking for cheaper energy, and getting away from having to grease the wheels for any project they wanted to build. I’m not suggesting any one gut labor and environmental laws, but if you can balance these needs, you could build a manufacturing haven.

        1. And it needs educated, skilled people … sadly our governments have dropped that ball into CRT’s lap. Oh! And into the LGBTQq+/- lap. Ewwwwww .

      1. Well, God willing & the creek don’t rise, the Liar Kenney will be gone come April. Don’t know who we’ll be saddled with after that.

    2. Exactly. Why do we insist on continuing to be a part of tis tyranny?

It is time to separate, now! Why wait with the hope that the rest of Canada will come to their senses. Justin Castreau is the face of everything that is wrong with this country.

      Vote for independence.

  5. The only thing that’s keeping me from moving to Sask is the winter weather. I am getting increasingly sensitive to cold in my golden years. Otherwise, I’d gladly take the leap, and if you are in need of truckers, I may not have the skills, but I have an excellent driving record, and I’m willing to be trained.

Living alone helps too. I can sell my house, use the funds to buy a rig, and live in the cab.

    Only catch: Not vaxed.

    1. You don’t need to buy anything, companies need drivers, farms and ranches need help all the time. Never a shortage of work out here.
And living rural has never been better after the insanity in metro areas with covid. I’ve worn a mask maybe a total of couple hours over two years.

      1. Indeed! The further you live from population (crime and lawlessness) centers … the better off you are. I’m am planning my own flight to rural America. I gotta get out of this place. Even though I live in a nice suburb … it too is starting to come unraveled. And this State has ELIMINATED my single family property. Now my next door neighbor can put in 4-units on his property.

  6. It’s a nice thought.

Saskatchewan never instituted anything like the Alberta Treasury Branches. Good luck even opening a bank account again, never mind getting a credit line for your small business.

Rest assured Bay Street thought of that.

    1. Alberta has a western bank in fact it’s called the Canadian Western Bank, head office Edmonton. Incorporated in 1984, it is a Schedule 1 bank like the big 5. A move to be Buffalo’s go to bank would be awesome.

  7. Turdo’s idea of a “peaceful legal trucker anti mandate protest” would be if they had all gathered on a couple sections of land a few miles west of Davidson Saskatchewan.
    And honked their horns.

  8. The opposition in Ottawa must pass a resolution calling the prime minister before the house to place before the elected representatives of the Canadian people. the members cannot and should not be bypassed by any prime minister signing a piece of paper in his basement, A resolution must be placed before the house that mandates can only be acted upon two weeks after they are introduced and voted on by the house. The resolution first mentioned need not be a vote of non confidence especially but acted upon by the conscience of the prime minister.

  9. American here..Since Quebec carries a lot of weight in Canada(from what I can figure out)will the premier being against be important?

    1. Control rests with the 35 or so Quebec Liberal MPs. 3 have been making noises with one voting with CPC and BQ today. BQ is Quebec party and is against War Measures Act. Quebec premier said he is opposed. Quebec is opposed. There would need to be about a dozen Quebec Liberal MPs swinging to other side for Trudeau to fail.

      1. Parliamentary government is so confusing.Honestly never paid attention to Canada before.Just feel gut punched watching this.

        1. Agreed … I’m an American who is not affected, but I also feel gutted. Peaceful, innocent, protestors are getting eviscerated by a few petty tin pot Dictators. A tiny minority in Canada are crushing Canada’s Democracy … while drowning on about Democracy

The Canadian Courts should sure as hell STOP this outrage NOW !!!!!

      2. Just stop trucking food into the province. It’s still winter, no soy person’s roof top garden is producing anything. When their bellies are empty they will beg to give you anything you want.
Ask anyone housed in the prison system.

      3. Liberals, there are 21 in Western Canada, 35 in Quebec, 25 in the Maritimes and two in the Arctic. I wonder how many of them are in swing ridings and won by a small margin. Given that the NDP have 25 and love their entitlements they will mostly vote with the Libs. One would really need at least 10 from the NDP, a sweep of the CPC, all the BQ, both the independent and the greenie along with 5 liberals. Possible? Yes Probable I do not think so.

      4. Viva Frei interviewed one of the spokesman for the convoy and he said there are many more liberal MPs on their side. I sure hope they vote against Trudeau’s emergency declaration.

        1. I don’t believe this will come to a vote but the government can destroy a lot of lives in the next 7 days

          1. They normally can’t find their own ass (Afghanistan evacuation; payroll; drinking water on reserves).

  10. This bullshit just put Western separation into the next gear.

Thank you, Tick Tock Trudles. Jug Ears was the best gun salesman the US ever had. You’re the best reason to leave this shithole of a country. What a fucking waste of oxygen & an embarrassment to humanity. May you rot in a new level of hell, forever.

    Now, where’s Maverick & WIP?

    1. 10th Circle of Hell ?
Asking for a not-friend with a pitchfork , horns and red forked tail.

  11. Saskatchewan drivers licenses are valid everywhere in Canada, no?
And if Trudeau wants to change that then that’s one more nail in the coffin and support for western separation.

If there was ever any doubt about going the distance and forcing Trudeau to resign that is gone.

BTW, to those media geniuses telling us that the government can’t cave to pressure from protesters, does that mean that all those other protests that you whole heartedly supported were pointless?

    1. Yes, under provincial authority. It’s why so many were pissed off when they changed trucking regulations here after the Humboldt crash — the accident was the fault of an Alberta licensed driver, and thus out of reach of the changes anyway.

  12. L – “Saskatchewan could resolve our own shortage of truck drivers by becoming an Emergencies Act sanctuary province.” – Kate qualifies for Sask. Minister of Transportation, since the portfolio responsibility is obviously vacant.

This would balance off the exchange of Saskatchewan Health Care workers coerced out their jobs by Premier Moe’s vaxx mandate. Thus violating informed consent. While Ontario and Quebec dropped the vaxx mandate due to a medical staff shortage.

If Premier Moe guaranteed the Right of Free Speech for physicians in Saskatchewan.
Then the competent ones could have a fair (lancet) jousting competition with the inept ones. Changing Public Health Policy to one not based on fear and ignorance and the cure being worse than the disease (e.i. Florida’s Dr. Lapado) that would be a good start at reform.

  13. What an amazing day. Canadians learned how much their Prime Minister hates them, as he effectively bans peaceful protest; and Americans learned what a truly treasonous bitch Hillary Clinton is, when it is revealed she was surveilling the office of the President. Prosecutions all around.

  14. Speaking of mischief, keep an eye out for any Trudeau government job ads for truck drivers.
I might want to apply myself if they start hiring for temporary driver positions.

  15. Isn’t it risky for truckers to be on the road in Ontario? One accusation of being a Freedom supporter and your rig, your license and your bank account are all gone. Better to take a couple of weeks off or just operate outside the province.

  16. It’s not mischief, it’s good business sense to take advantage of the foolish moves of those that will try punish their own people. While everyone is flailing around in political purgatory, we can move on.
Brad Wall moved Saskatchewan forward as Alberta started choking their own oil industry back a few years ago with huge royalty increases. The industry exploded in Saskatchewan, and it’s still a huge driver in our economy here. Foolish politicians with no sense of vision will do terrible damage, and the people pay. Real leadership with common sense and a bit of courage can make huge gains, and everyone gains. This is a time of opportunity like no other. Guys like Kenney and Moe are standing there watching that parade go by and didn’t notice there’s some openings up near the front.

    1. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

You typed, “Real leadership” and, “Kenney” in the same paragraph.

      BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

      1. Noted. That was really silly of me to not see that. It gets harder all the time to even type some names!
