    1. No, we are not all sociopaths. As a (former) lifetime supporter of the NDP, I am as upset and confused as most of the commentators here with what’s happened to this once great institution for working people. My wife says I never left the left, it left me. God how I miss Ed Broadbend.

      1. While I can count on hand without using 2 fingers the number of times I’ve agreed with the NDP over the years I did respect Ed. He walked the walk. If there was a blue collar protest anywhere in Canada, even if it was only 10 people, Ed made sure there was an NDP presence as a show of support. Just like how the CPC has abandoned conservatives in their quest for power the NDP has joined the champagne socialists in looking down at the people who get dirty for a living.

  4. Horvath and the NDP get most of their support from the massive number of public sector employees, all of whom are unionized and none of whom lost their jobs during the Wu Flu lockdowns. Indeed, during the last two years public sector employees have received wage and benefit increases, while doing less work than ever. The number of public sector workers has also increased dramatically, resulting in lots of promotions that have increased their salaries even further. Lockdowns are, in effect, the promised land for public sector employees and that’s why Horvath wants lockdowns to continue forever.

    1. Agreed entirely. The party of the working man died with the loss of David Lewis in 1981. All the rest have been shysters to some degree, with the worst being Jack Layton and his flings with underage whores on Dundas Street.

    3. None of them appear to be getting any traction. One of the curses of the purist right is that each one has to be purer than the other hence, Ontario Party, New Blue Party and Ontario First Party are all fighting for the same votes and neither has the infrastructure. There is no good potential outcome in foresight unless 3F gets ousted. And Ford will not get ousted unless he looses. I just hope that the next government will be a fragile paralyzed minority and PC can regroup without 3F.

I voted Eves/Tory/Whothat/Dairy Queen/Oh Stool, I would not have voted for Brown and I can’t vote for 3F. I’ll vote Ontario Party and if they are not running in my riding, then I will draw a truck and write “Honk! Honk!” on the ballot. 3F’s treason cannot be forgiven. Ever.

    1. No. The members of the industrial trade unions long ago deserted the Dippers. Their main support comes from: university faculties; public sector workers; public sector union organizations; and big trade union organizations themselves such as Unifor. NOT the actual members.

      2. It sucks horribly to have to ponder voting for 3F (I like that moniker, btw) to keep a cretinous pustule like Whorewad from forming a majority government.

        As much as I despise 3F for the anti-conservative POS he’s become I value my unvaxxed freedom and future of my children more than the nausea I’d feel voting for him.

        And if that’s not being stuck between a rock and a sh1t place I don’t know what is. No wonder voter attendance is so lousy in these elections. And why domestic water usage spikes after them, in the form of blindingly hot showers.
