        Remember a lot of people who voted for him were people who stayed home when Tory or Hudak run, and only went to the pools because they were overjoyed that Brown was removed.             As a general rule, I don’t like wasting votes on non-starters. As citizens were are obliged to make choices even if the choices are at times repulsive. I agree with you about Eves.     Politically, he could have done this 2 weeks ago and not connected himself with Castreau in any way.
    He could have left Justine all on his own to be the face of restrictions and mandates.

    Instead, Ford is left holding that bag with the Liberals in Ottawa as the Bobbsie Twins of the mandates.

    He has no gain at all in this timing because Douglas looks like he gave in anyway, no matter what he says now.

    3. Actually, I think Ford could gain a lot if goodwill if he were seen to be giving into the convoy demands. I suspect other people are doing the deciding. I don’t think there is anything to gain by slow walking the lifting of mandates. I think Omicron has run it’s course– plus the masks etc. never did very much to stop the spread.

  22. I made the mistake of voting for P.E.T. in 1968 – never voted Liberal, even once, again; now, in the upcoming Ontario elections, my wife & I are about 145% sure we won’t vote for Doug Ford – any comments on Derek Sloan, (who we’ve heard good things about), and the Ontario Party?

    We’re quite prepared to cast our votes for a candidate who won’t get elected – better than condoning those we have no respect for.

    2. My wife and I are leaning towards voting Ontario Party. Derek Sloan is a man of principle. While I am often willing to compromise a lot when voting (Eves, Tory, Whothat, Dairy Queen, Oh’Stool) 3F has made it impossible for me to support him ever again.

Donate to the riding opposition with the best chance of victory and even help it in the particular riding. There may even be an aopponent from one of the three new conservative parties There are options that do not allow a Lib/Dem disaster government.
