I would be surprised if anyone in this protest had a disrespectful attitude towards our fallen soldiers. The fact that some people visited and acted out there was just poor judgement on their part, but probably not meant to show disrespect, but solidarity of purpose.
The same can be said of the Terry Fox statue embellishments. The media called that a “desecration” and while I greatly admire Terry Fox, I thought desecration would involve a deity. No doubt that would be to set a precedent for the inevitable Trudeau statue desecrations, where of course there actually is a religion involved. About the Terry Fox issue, it has offended people in his home town of Port Coquitlam, who feel that Terry would not have made common cause. That’s a hypothetical that we can never know, same with the majority of the soldiers in the three major conflicts of the 20th century, but we have living veterans too and recently deceased fighting men and women (Afghanistan, Bosnia among other places) so it would be interesting to see if they are with the convoy in any substantial numbers.
Then there is the meme that the security services had to “hide” the PM and his family. This of course spreads the illusion that people have threatened the PM’s family, or even he himself. I would be surprised if anyone in this protest had a disrespectful attitude towards our fallen soldiers. The fact that some people visited and acted out there was just poor judgement on their part, but probably not meant to show disrespect, but solidarity of purpose.
The same can be said of the Terry Fox statue embellishments. The media called that a “desecration” and while I greatly admire Terry Fox, I thought desecration would involve a deity. No doubt that would be to set a precedent for the inevitable Trudeau statue desecrations, where of course there actually is a religion involved. About the Terry Fox issue, it has offended people in his home town of Port Coquitlam, who feel that Terry would not have made common cause. That’s a hypothetical that we can never know, same with the majority of the soldiers in the three major conflicts of the 20th century, but we have living veterans too and recently deceased fighting men and women (Afghanistan, Bosnia among other places) so it would be interesting to see if they are with the convoy in any substantial numbers.
Then there is the meme that the security services had to “hide” the PM and his family. This of course spreads the illusion that people have threatened the PM’s family, or even he himself. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few threats were uttered against various politicians, as a class they should feel lucky to be in this relatively non-violent society and not one like Romania where people turned on their elite masters after many years of abuse. A lot of us feel that we have been subjected to years and years of harassment, humiliation and a general talking down from unworthy and unsuitable people who have never realized this basic premise — and I’ll highlight it in caps:

and the whole bizarre spectacle of an elite class practising the first while routinely denouncing the second has created the social divide, about half the country gets this, and the other half do not get it. Half can see that it makes no sense to follow the other equally evil ideology, while half want at least some form of it, and routinely vote for it.
And any Canadian socialist will tell you, well we are nothing like Stalin. Possibly true in some details, but they are a lot like Chairman Mao and his successor, Xi, with the same general outlook and sense of moral superiority based on their party membership(s) and their outlook on life. Canadian ruling elites are basically the Communist Party of Canada, whether they choose to accept it or not. Ours is a voluntary communism, that doesn’t make it any better.
And evidently, there is no shortage of useful idiots. That’s why we have not needed camps or a very expansive secret police, there are only small numbers of active dissidents, at least, until this began. Now they have created millions of dissidents. As recently as five or ten years ago, there were only a few hundred of us, now there appear to be millions.

We can also expect the standard planted stories and plants about “Nazi” flags, and “Filth and human waste in the streets”, etc. as the MSM tries desperately to find a diminishing narrative that will stick.
Assuming that the convoy lasts another couple of weeks – and just from the sheer numbers involved I’d say it will – you’ll begin to see another narrative forming: the stores are empty because of the truckers. People who read this blog will see through that immediately, but most of the “why are they protesting if they’re vaccinated” crowd won’t. That will be the dangerous point.
At that point, holding fast and messaging will be all important. We’ve seen large national protests fizzle out before – I’m thinking of the Yellow Vests – but this time it’s different. It’s not the fringe minority who are protesting. It’s not even the silent majority who now have say. It’s our very own supply chain that’s protesting. And the politicians can hyperventilate all they want to, but if the trucks don’t move, neither does the country. They have no power against that.
The MSM had no issues when a face diaper went on the statue. There was no issue with the alphabet life-form flag. I could go on and on. Everyone here knows the depravity of the Trudeau cult members employed by the MSM.

First time I’ve listened to the CBC in, literally, years, and the first time since his election that I’ve given any more than about one minute of my time to watch Trudeau’s silly posturing.
In my view he comes across as a pathological liar, incapable of feeling empathy or shame for his obvious constant spewing of disinformation. Insincerity is one word, among many, that describe his delivery. A true poseur.
