  1. Meh. He’s got enough $$$ to retire “early”. But the REAL question is whether Tiger can still go ‘doggie-style’ with his ho’s? And probably all threesomes are off the table … let alone foursomes.

  2. I have none, zero, respect for this guy.

He stands on the shoulders of giants. Yet, years ago when it came time to pay tribute to one of the greats by plinking a few balls into the ocean, he was nowhere to be found.

    1. I feel the same. I thought that he was always condescending to those who came before him. His attitude and weak forgiveness of Fuzzy Zoeller made Fuzzy disappear from the PGA. (Along with some stupid comments by Fuzzy.) I thought that Woods was flexing his muscle at that time to show how powerful he was. I could be wrong but it didn’t sit well with me at the time. Then again, I’m a nobody.

  3. I don’t care.

It’s good that this type of thing gets posted on SDA, and as a service I appreciate it a great deal, but in the particular case of Tiger Woods, I just don’t care. Play, don’t play, all the same.

  4. His prowess in golf didn’t match up with what he ultimately did in his life that led to his downfall.

  5. This caught my eye.

“Woods also revealed that he had spent time watching Charlie play in junior tournaments and had been helped by all the support, INCLUDING PRESIDENT BIDEN. He is far from downbeat. “There’s a lot to look forward to, a lot of hard work to be done being patient and progressing at a pace that is aggressive but not over the top,” Woods said.”

Looks like you have to kiss the ring.

Biden cant be bothered to visit those in Waukashau though.

    1. If we had upvotes I’d give you 100%. He was badly hurt; local authorities covered up for him.

  6. Clearly not many golfers on this comment thread. What he has achieved through mental toughness and near super natural skill is virtually unprecedented in his sport and has inspired people around the world.

I don’t think he’s retiring and wouldn’t be too surprised if he were to tee it up at the Open at St Andrews this summer which he claims is his all time favourite course.

He also was the recipient of the presidential medal of freedom from the Donald

    1. “Clearly not many golfers on this comment thread.”

You’re right. Not a golfer. The few times went out with my buddies years ago could safely be called “Whack-F@@K”. No argument.

However, I can spot an egotistical, self-centered ass like Tiger Woods a mile away, talented or not.

    2. His father was the ULTIMATE “Stage Mom”. Tiger was drilled and drilled and forced to play a sport and excel at it (much like Richard Williams did for his tennis star daughters). Yes, some talent and some focus … but it all was driven by his overbearing father.

And once his father died … the wheels came off. Came off his golf, and REALLY came off his personal life as he decided to ball every high priced skank he eyeballed. Goodbye marriage. Goodbye children (except “visitations”). Tiger became his inner PIG. His arrogant self-consuming inner PIG.

Without his daddy telling him how to play, train, and live his life … Tiger is just another broken man. A deeply flawed man … who STILL doesn’t understand how life works.

Unlimited wealth … unlimited ego … unlimited self-destruction.

  7. Just watch the top 10 best shots by Tiger and they are just amazing to see the incredible skill he had. The number 1 was the shot from the bunker on the 18th fairway at our Canadian Open at Glen Abbey. 216 yards across the pond to the green right on the pond itself to win the tournament with a 6 iron! Tons of golfers try to emulate this shot, haven’t heard anyone who has done it.

Didn’t care for his personal life choices but he paid for them in the end.

    1. His wife and children PAID for Tiger’s lack of character. Tiger’s steadfast caddy PAID for Tiger’s lack of character. At the end of the day … who cares about a great golf shot? I’ve seen hacks hit holes in one … meh. I’ve even hit a fairway wood 275 yards straight onto the green leaving a 6ft. Eagle putt … so what?

        1. Those of us from broken homes know how much it hurts when your father chooses other women over his kids. That’s what cheating is.

Often you don’t notice the hurt until you try to make a family of your own and painfully realize you don’t know how.

Failure as a father isn’t worth a remarkable golf game. If you are going to neglect your kids, you better be doing something important like defeating the Nazis or running the country.
