TB is an underappreciated public health threat in developed nations. Our current understanding of the epidemiology of drug-resistant TB and the interventions needed to limit its spread, reviewed in this article, illustrates the need for increased financial support for developing new TB drugs, diagnostics and vaccines to meet the WHO goal of TB elimination by 2035.

I grew up in Alberta in the 1950’s, 60’s until 1970. And then I lived in Calgary from 2002 to 2014. Alberta has definitely gone down the “rabbit hole”. I blame all the people who moved there from Ontario (but not from Newfoundland – they still have a strong sense of individuality!). How did a useless person like Naheed Nenshi, who still lived with his mommy and daddy in his late 30’s, become mayor of Calgary and then was re-elected for 2 more terms?
I moved to Saskatchewan in 2014, but sadly, I see the same nonsense happening here. Nobody wants to take individual responsibility anymore and hence our property taxes keep going up and up, but the quality of service from the City goes down and down.
I think it’s an age thing, not a geography think. Younger people who have been subjected to the public education system are different to older people, and it’s like this everywhere.

His argument about taxation levels was that if the Government left you with 20% of your income that was enough for anybody to be happy with, the rest should be taxed away.
