  1. Any bets that many of the “indigenous” protesters are really middle- or upper-class white kids working for Rent-an-Antifan?

  2. Until the people that are concerned about the protestor problem start swatting the flies at the protests, nothing will change.

  3. Just spit ballin here.
Is it possible just possible that the “protesters” are only there because their gang didn’t get offered a piece of the action.
Heck I’ll go further, they used the old fashioned shake down and the local band said GFYS. So knowing going toe to toe with the local bands being DOA they went where extortion works if you can convince the intended target (or they can make use of the opposition as a political wedge) you are one of the “oppressed”.
The sock monkey was the weak link they had wet dreams over.
Whether it’s the Douglas Estates, or a pipeline, the NWS will have the rent a mob on site to make sure they get a cut.
Or sumptin very bad will appin to youse, if youse know what I mean.

  4. Why are the 5 unelected hereditary chiefs or “Indigenous outliers” as Ms. Kay describes them, given any legal standing at all with respect to discussions or negotiations? If the 5 elected band councils of Wet’suwet’en and surrounding First Nations have signed off on impact and benefit agreements and have already received $2.7B why are they sitting on their asses saying absolutely nothing? Seems to me they’re hanging CGL out to dry or using it as leverage for more dough.
And if the blockades are illegal, where are the police????? So many questions.

Too many chiefs not enough Indians.

    1. – because they already got paid the $2.7B they are holding out for more
      – the police won’t enforce it because of the ghosts of Oka and Dudley George

  5. Ah, you really do have to love the CBC: “natural gas addiction.“

Addiction, folks. Not necessity invented by civilized humanity to prevent death by exposure, no no.

    Hang ’em high!

    1. Heating and air conditioning, refrigeration, electric lights and power for operating rooms and respirators in the nation’s hospitals…such a terribly abusive relationship humanity has with electricity.

“And why can’t you perform neurosurgery in the dark, Dr. Brown? All your colleagues do it.”

“I’m sorry, son, we just can’t afford to keep your insulin cold any longer.”

      1. You thought we were going to develop nanotechnology in the pursuit of better cures? And mine asteroids so we never run out of resources? And fusion technology for perfectly clean unlimited energy?

Oh, that’s rich – that takes ELECTRICITY, dummies, and LOTS of it! Welcome to New Kampuchea.

        1. Keeping the heat and lights on is an overwhelming technical challenge.

“And a wood stove for each room in the hospital. Yes, that’s what I said, a wood burning stove.”

        2. OSF

ONE WONDERS just where said Juice will be created..??
All the Major Rives world wide are already damned.
Wind & Solar or the BS of Bio MAss ain’t gonna do it FREAKING Evah.
Fossil Fuels..?? Iieeeeee..!!!!! The Climate MORONS will have a TOTAL psychotic breakdown should that be proposed.

          So whats left..??

          NUCLEAR..??
Not a hope in hell will environmental groups sign on to that either..
Hmmmm Im starting to sense a vision….million of humans on stationary Cycles churning out a few amps…kinda like the MATRIX.

Don’t think for a moment “they” haven’t thought of that…

        3. My belief is that a considerable number of dedicated CBC viewers who voted for Trudeau and his green policies truly believe that electricity grows on wires.

  6. The Challenge of Providing America with Electricity.
Politicians inch us ever closer to a completely unreliable power grid, while prices skyrocket. (No lessons were learned in February, nor from the current shambles that is power generation in Europe). Witness Southern Co’s comments on the Obama Clean Power Plan, in 2014. While these comments are unusually direct, they mimic what is heard from industry employees, and accurately foreshadowed what we see unfolding across the nation.

“A Brookings Institution analysis of 2014 utility comments on the Obama plan said Southern Co.’s “strongly worded condemnation of the Clean Power Plan is striking and unusual even compared to other critical voices. Southern asserts that the Plan ‘extends beyond EPA’s authority under the Clean Air Act, is unworkable and would increase electricity prices to customers while jeopardizing reliability.’ This will result, Southern says, in a ‘complete deconstruction of the nation’s electric sector and negatively impact America’s energy security.’ Implementing the Plan, according to Southern, could cost $1 trillion.” ”

  7. when will the CBC shutdown it’s 26x 100,000watt transmitters?
when will the CBC have a renewables only powerline strung from a solar or wind farm so that it can live up to what it demands for the rest of us?
when will the cbc cut it’s lighting to only use natural light for it’s broadcasts?

    etc…

    1. What’s the chances of the CBC putting its money where its mouth is regarding the elimination of fossil fuels? I would guess about the same odds of this enormous parasite surviving even one week without its obscene $1.5 billion annual taxpayer funded handout. That would be absolutely none. Zero. SFA.

  8. In Salihu’s defence, no liberal leftist should be allowed to procreate. Let these dumb asses think they are doing it for Mother Gaia. The rest of us will benefit immensely.

  9. Greta Thunberg is a religious nutter.
    A medieval child saint.

“”Fundamentally we should be LAUGHING at her!” Historian David Starkey lambasts the environmentalist for blaming Britain for climate change, saying they have a ‘historic responsibility’.”

A nice four and a half minute no holds barred takedown of the global warming cult.

    1. Laugh at them, sure…then kick them so hard their ovaries fall out and their fillings fly out their ass.

As I always say, they laughed at Hitler – but they also bombed the shit out of him.

  10. So why hasn’t CBC turned their office heating down to 5C and eliminated their AC units?

Why doesn’t every school and government building turn their heat down to 5C and eliminate air conditioning?

    If it saves one duck….

  11. Send some of those anti-natural gas CBC lefties to the prairies. I’ll stake them out in the back yard. We haven’t had any really cold weather yet but it will happen and then I’ll enjoy listening to them begging to come in but then telling them that I can’t, because I heat with natural gas.

  12. The story of this 30-year-old educated woman depriving herself and her family of children because of “climate change” is very sad. Technically, she became mentally ill because of this sick brainwashing.

  13. Some simple math.
According the article, 730 megatons of CO2 emitted in 2019 (assuming they have a clue how to calculate) :

    Oil and Gas: 191 mt = 26.2%
    Transport: 186 mt = 25.5%
    Heavy Industry: 77 mt = 10.5%

All three total 62.2%, approaching 2/3, the target of watermelon collectivists, at less than 2% of total global emissions.
CBC doesn’t mention how people should heat their homes, not using the cleanest GHG fuel, other than buying new light bulbs.
All those climate change activists, warriors and their big city allies should be forced to rely on wind and solar for a full winter.
That would end the argument quickly. But of course the apparatchiks and neo-regals insulate themselves for their policy effects.
Poverty is their prescription for for “lowering emissions,” Tax away productivity and wealth, leaving them with financial control
