I watch world leaders speaking on TV, and I listen to and read the news, and I wonder how stupid they all think we are.
Take our own prime minister Boris Johnson. He was on Sky News this week and acknowledged that while the vaccine, offers a level of “protection against illness and death” it “doesn’t protect you against catching the disease and it doesn’t protect you against passing it on“
Surely that sentence right there means vaccine passports would be meaningless and pointless. Even if the day comes when every single person in the UK – from newborn babies upwards – has received the vaccines – the virus, assuming our prime minister’s statement is to be trusted, will continue to be spread among the population. Knowing that someone has been vaccinated will make no difference to whether or not you might catch Covid from them – or whether you might pass Covid on.
The inference to be drawn from Mr Johnson’s words is that the virus will continue to pass between vaccinated and unvaccinated alike. It may reasonably be inferred, therefore, that continued talk of vaccine passports is not about controlling the spread of the virus – rather it must be about controlling the movement of people seeking only to go about their law-abiding business.

Yes, what governments have been doing for the last 18 months is a textbook case of an abusive relationship . Financial abuse of lockdowns and being fired for refusing a medical procedure. Emotional and psychological abuse using fear, isolation, threats, ultimatums and deadlines. Physical abuse by violating bodily autonomy and rationed/refusal of medical care. As expected, the level of abuse continues to escalate and “look what you made me do to you” to justify the abuse is ever present. These are in no way “nudges”, they are the most malignant and malicious forms of abuse of government power in my lifetime.

If the final goal is digital id and a surveillance state then I would expect a pivot from the vaccine pass to something like a universal citizen pass. A digital id that is presented as the modern universal id that would include everything – driver’s license, travel passport, health care card, social insurance number, traffic fines, criminal history, mental health history, IQ, education, job history, finances, absolutely everything.

A government law stating that all government departments, federal and provincial and municipal , have to coordinate all information is all that is needed. I’ve been asking our local health authority and civic government about the “proof of vaccination” certificates and when they will expire based on the scientific evidence that after 5-6 months they are less effective than the weeks following a first jab. If the rational for them is proof of high immunity, there needs to be a point when they can no longer apply. Here in Sask. it will mean that the SHA will either have to mandate a new injection every 5-6 months or start providing tests for antibodies to allow longer periods between jabs.
