ESPN Loves Stomping Down on Black Women

ESPN has had a long history of empowering a racist culture.  One might think they would strive to correct the error of their ways.  But they’ve clearly chosen a different path:

A story published on Tuesday claimed ESPN removed anchor Sage Steele from its programming for a week following a positive test for COVID-19 and also for remarks she made during a recent podcast appearance about former President Barack Obama, women and vaccine mandates.

Front Office Reports wrote Steele got pulled off the air more so because of her controversial comments than her COVID-19 diagnosis. A news release from ESPN also indicated viewpoints she expressed recently caused some friction with the sports channel.

Tucker Carlson explored this Thursday evening.

  1. A biracial woman can’t say she was forced into taking the goo to keep her job, that looks really bad for Sportsball TV.

  2. Recently there was another incident with ESPN personnel (in this case a white woman): https://nypost.com/2021/08/31/whats-next-for-rachel-nichols-after-her-split-from-espn/

ESPN plays favorites, period. It’s not a state secret. And to me, it’s not a leap to say that personal and political views, as well as race, do get taken into consideration.

A number of years back when ESPN decided to get more political in its commentary, its ratings tanked. Even though they tried to dig themselves out of that hole, they’ve never really recovered. Personally, I think they have too many talk shows anyway. Then there was Obama doing NCAA Tournament brackets and all the hoopla surrounding that year after year. I’m trying to remember if he ever got a championship team correct, but if he did it wasn’t that many. I know there were jokes that if you had picked a championship team and then he picked the same one, time to adjust your brackets.
