      VAERS reports alone generally cannot be used to determine if a vaccine caused or contributed to an adverse event or illness. Some reports may contain information that is incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental, or unverifiable. VAERS reports often lack contextual information, such as total vaccinations given or information on unvaccinated groups for comparison. Most reports to VAERS are voluntary, which means they may be subject to biases. Data from VAERS reports should always be interpreted with these limitations in mind.

      1. This is the CDC. They who stopped counting “breakthrough” cases last week. They who say masks work. They who spew crapola constantly. The above statement serves their purposes. A just released study showed that around 75% of VAERS reports are from people in healthcare. But there are huge numbers of doctors who won’t report adverse Covid vaccine reports. Increasing numbers of nurses in the U.S. are coming forward and talking about this, as they’re seeing large numbers of vaccine injured patients and supervising doctors won’t report them.

            Yes, it gives researchers valuable hints about where to conduct research. But it should not, in and of itself, be used to draw conclusions. The data is not reliable enough for that.

            2. You don’t ignore it, but you don’t believe it either. It’s the start of an investigation, not the end.

               The VAERS site explicitly spells this out. Maybe you should believe them when they say you shouldn’t do what you are now doing.

               “ Conclusions: Using VAERS reports and additional documentation, causality could be assessed by expert review in the majority of VAERS reports. Assessment of VAERS reports identified that causality was thought to be probable or definite in less than one quarter of reports, and these were dominated by local reactions, allergic reactions, or symptoms known to be associated with the vaccine administered.”

               Yeah, I think I already knew that. How you think that bolsters your arguments is a deep mystery.

         1. It’s an early warning system, but it is not proof. It’s meant to inspire research, not conclusions. The data is not nearly thorough or reliable enough for that.

            2. And was this caused by the vaccine? We don’t know. We only know it happened AFTER vaccination.

               When hundreds of millions of shots are administered, many bad things will happen shortly afterwords in the normal course of things even if the shot is just distilled water. Teasing out those ailments that were truly caused by the vaccine is a trickly and difficult process, requiring careful statistical gathering and analysis.

   VARERS limitations:
   If I write at VARERS that my balls are swollen, there’s doubt. Some may say, “marc! how can your balls be any larger than they already are, and is it really possible they could be more grand?” !!!!

   Honestly, that’s fair comment.

   If I say to a psychiatrist, “I see clouds over some people, and I know those people will cause harm to others so I must stop them and that’s why I carry a pistol”. That’s a problem which “must” be reported, I must be stopped and there’s room for me inside so I don’t cause anyone any harm.
   and… this will be reported in the regular psychiatrist’s journals who will take this as being the complete truth, and with this will be reported exactly which drugs I’ve been taking.
   and… the reporting psychiatrist will be REWARDED for reporting this, cited actually, and others will think more highly of him for noticing my episodes.
