HMS Queen Elizabeth: Covid outbreak on Navy flagship

The BBC has been told there have been around 100 cases on the aircraft carrier, which is part way through a world tour. Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said all crew on the deployment had received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine and the outbreak was being managed. A spokeswoman said mitigation measured on board included masks, social distancing and a track and trace system.

Standard crew size is 1600, so that’s 1 in 16 people.  Who are young, fit, 100% double vaxed, with military discipline enforcing hygiene rules.  How does that translate into the rest of society? Or the long term care homes this fall and winter when the seasonal pressure kicks in again?

  2. So we are all risking our health for a vaccine that apparently doesn’t work.

    I now know three people who have had really horrible health problems develop within two weeks of when they took the vaccine. Two of them are dead now from heart attacks. One is still alive but essentially bedridden due to neurological issues. If the vaccines are so safe I shouldn’t know any or maybe one person, but three?

  3. The problem with Britain and covid is that Britain is a small crowded place with millions of 3rd world wogs coming and going every day. What do you expect? It was recently stated that in Canada, most of the outbreaks were among the immigrant and native Indian communities.

    Why lock the rest of us down if we know where the trouble spots are? The vaccines are showing up as ineffective, and dangerous to one’s health. It’s a real mess folks.

    I think we have had enough of the lock-downs and the ineffectual masks. Perhaps enough of us are willing take a stand for freedom. Is there anything more important?

  5. Well….seems to me had they not inoculated the entire crew….they might have had 1 case…or less..?

    And again, how many cycles are they using with the PCR..?? And more to the point, what exactly have they found in their “testing”….a Cold.? a Mild Flu.? Nothing.?

  6. Oh yes Francisco. My, how the media is so forgetful of last year’s steep decline of cases and deaths, as the weather warmed. Better yet, it happened without mask mandates, or experimental gene therapies (pseudovax’).
    Yet now, what do we hear? Massive self- congratulations from the health bureaucracies, claiming effectiveness of their goo juice, despite a parallel of last year’s success without the dangerous injections.
    I look forward to this winter’s cold and flu season, though, of course, the usual liars and suspects will try to make pariahs out of those of us who will not take that concoction. Hard to get or spread a disease when you avoid crowds.
    This ain’t over, not by a long shot.

    Actually it’s a bit under 700. 1600 is only with the full air wing, which they don’t have yet.

    So 1 in 7, or about 14%.

    Now the signal from the Diamond Princess is that about 80% of the population at large is not susceptible to Covid. That is supported by this paper:

    …so there’s a difference between “nature” and “fully vaccinated” of about 6 percent…a difference that could be explained by the smallish sample size or by previous infections amongst the 6 percent.
    One would be tempted to conclude that the vaccines are essentially useless at preventing infection or illness from SARS-CoV2.

    1. Edward, I would think the 6% difference could easily be explained by the age/health difference between a Navy ship crew and the passengers aboard a cruise ship.

      1. Or that the Absolute Risk Reduction of the two mRNA injectables based on their own Phase III RCT’s was only 1%. 95% is the Relative Risk Reduction but did not include PCR positive cases after only 1 jab.

        1. I was going to make the same point about absolute vs. relative risk. I read a paper on this and found it very informative. You never hear the absolute number quoted (actual reduction in chances of contracting Covid. ) vs. Relative which is simply a comparison or two groups at a particular point in time. (95% for Pfizer in trials, Now down to 67, based on Israel but still a two group comparison. ) You never hear about absolute risk reduction, because it does not make for effective marketing. Who would take the vaccine based on only a 1% reduction in risk?

    2. After combing through a number of sources it is unclear to me if the 100 cases are all on the carrier or contained within the entire carrier strike group. The article says 3,700 sailors are in the entire group of ships. Regardless, it does seem like a fairly large amount of positive tests. I would also guess that few precautions against spread were taken since the official narrative suggests that vaccines are all a person needs and the entire complement of sailors was vaccinated.

      It would also be interesting to know what type of vaccine the sailors received. In Britain, AstraZenica (which is not mRNA) comprises the bulk of shots administered.

      I am also interested in knowing the severity of these cases. For example, were they mostly asymptomatic? If vaccines do minimize severe cases, will the vaccinated end up spreading the virus to unvaccinated populations who may become more ill? I’m guessing we will begin to see answers to these questions in the fall.

  8. L – Covid-19, as a biological weapon is a mediocre design. Is mRNA vaccine, on the other hand,
    a brilliant design, because it is delivered into the target by the target’s own government.

    Thus has plausible deniability, if designed by a hostile government, but not for the Western gov’t’s that imposed it via massive psychological coercion. Liar Liability is a real thing.

    As the widespread maiming and death from the experimental vaccines becomes known.
    Will there be any government leaders left *standing ?

    Note- Soon their armed forces and police will realize what has been done to them, too.
    So, the demand for a Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal in every western nation. It will not lack
    the armed force to investigate, search and arrest and bring to trial, all those responsible.

    What does the growing weight of evidence weigh ?
    Beyond a balance of probabilities? Beyond a reasonable doubt ?
    Does gov’t. cancel culture/censorship, direct and indirect, demonstrate Mens Rea, the intent?

  9. Hmmm, are they going to have to admit that positive tests are not actually cases to explain this?

    Will the Covid Narrative have go into the drydock for a few modifications and repairs?

    Will the New Improved Narrative state that positive tests don’t mean a Covid case if you are vaccinated, but a positive Covid test does mean a case if you are unvaccinated?

    Science!

    According to the end of the story, there are 18 F35B deployed, 8 British and 10 USMC. So there are more than the 700 basic ship crew, but not the full 1600. Maybe assume 1,000-1,200?

    This virus seems to be very persistent, doesn’t it? Almost like it was designed that way?
    I am glad it was not the final product.
