    1. Can’t cure em drug em.
Reminds me of the Vancouver cops giving free illegal drugs at their precinct…
And this won’t have every Drug addict drooling to go to Vancouver for free Drugs?
Gotta love today’s politicians keeping the drugs flowing.

  1. Actually, a fabulous idea. Leary and Alpert (when they were world renowned psychologists and before they became evil hippies) were experimenting with LSD at Harvard and finding it could be a useful tool and, lately, micro dosing has been found to have many potential medicinal uses. The dose is much less than it takes to have an actual “trip”. I believe they may be doing this with Biden. Have you seen his pupils?

  2. Currently undergoing chemotherapy for rectal cancer. Added 5mg of weed to my daily dose of drugs that include – dexamethasone, ranitidine, metaclopramide, sertraline and zoplocone. The chemo is pumping noxious chemicals into my body to kill the cancer, the weed helps combat the negative side effects of the drugs. It is helping me get through this process. Don’t know why experimenting with a micro-dose of LSD for late stage cancer patients would offend any of you.
And for the record, Saskatchewan Health has been great throughout the process. Fast-tracking a picc line, biopsy, three MRI and chemo treatment. Other than one night nurse at City Hospital everyone EVERYONE I’ve dealt with have been fantastic.

    1. My wife, after trying useless CBD gummies, switched to the real thing and has been able to stop taking some of her prescribed medications and is sleeping well for the first time in years. It seems to have cured her nighttime Restless Leg Syndrome and that’s a blessing. Terrible curse that runs in her family.

      1. Thank you and a word of advice for all who frequent this site, make sure you get the digital rectal exam when you get to 50. I waited too long. Don’t make the same mistake.

  3. Not actually offended. If it helps take the edge off that’s great. It’s a horrible disease. Put it up more as a chuckle.

  4. “In the 1950s, Saskatchewan was home to some of the most important psychedelic research in the world. Saskatchewan-based psychiatrist Humphry Osmond coined the word psychedelic in 1957.”

It’s always those hippies from Saskatchewan….

  5. LSD at the “sub-perceptual” level. I like to know how that works :-0

“Micro-doses” of a drug that only requires micrograms, hence the blotting paper “micro-dots”.

Actually, Francisco, no guarantee they’ll be happy. Perceptive, maybe, but not necessarily happy.

    1. Yes, a dose large enough to take you on a trip is still measured in micrograms. Incredibly small amounts. Albert Hoffman, who discovered LSD, first ingested it by accident since it takes such tiny amounts to have profound effects. Micro dosing involves much less than the 100 to 200 micrograms needed for the true LSD trip. Perhaps 10 to 20 micrograms.

  6. “no guarantee they’ll be happy”

I did a little “research” one upon a time. There were definitely no guarantees.

  7. Well I got nothing on micro dosing ACID…however, I do know that micro dosing with Psilocybin Mushrooms appears to be quite effective with folks suffering from depression. MICRO Dosing k..?? (miiligrams)

Not brewing 1-2 grams in a tea & getting blitzed …

  8. Is New Zealand socialist health care? How did that go again, something like: “Sometimes we have to make those hard calls, and it’s better for everyone if your mom gets the pain pill instead of the transplant.”

  9. May work,to cure the cancer as well.
The connection of Mind to state of health has always been a tough area to describe.
Are happy people healthier or are they happy because they enjoy good health?
Same as the advice to cancer patients to maintain a positive attitude..
May not cure your cancer, but you will feel better..

Imagine if most of our mental insanity is due to not stopping to breath?
Now back when LSD was a thing, the retuning of your perception was an interesting past time,Leary claimed you could reprogram people to happier and healthier states..But maintained that “Setting” was vital..
So what setting does a micro dose require or inspire?

    1. I sum up this question, John, with the question “When does a thought become a chemical” or an emotion. At some point, it must leverage the corporeal tissues. I don’t see why healthy mind does not lead to healthy body, although I do not think the linkages are known or understood yet. When I’m down spiritually (for want of a better word for physically and emotionally tired) I also am more prone to cold sores, excema and colds, etc.

  10. Very, VERY hard not to see this is just more soma legalization, just as with weed (a fait accompli now and a way for people with zero brains or talent to get rich, just as it always has been) and as pointed out here, psilocybin.

Let’s make everything the 1960s left were into not merely legal but THE NORM: fucking with your neurochemistry willy-nilly, communism, the entire spectrum of sexual deviance (up to and including pedophilia of course, just wait for it)…etc etc. the Holy Grail of Tolerance for every nuance of human whackjobbery will lead us to nirvana, folks!

Can I just put this out there: people who agree are not conservatives, or even civilized. There, done.

  11. I experimented in my hay days being a product of the 60 and 70’s…fast forward to the late 90’s early 00’s and here I was on a Paxil prescription…i swear Paxil is a mild form of acid without the Colors…when I decided to get off Paxil and went cold turkey a year or so after starting it is when I really felt the similarities.
