Wiping Away Personal Privacy in Silicon Valley

It seems that the totalitarian tendencies of techies in Silicon Valley is rubbing off on public health officials there:

Businesses and governmental entities must ascertain the vaccination status of all personnel. Until a person’s vaccination status is ascertained, they must be treated as not fully vaccinated. Personnel who decline to provide vaccination status must also be treated as unvaccinated. Businesses and governmental entities must complete their initial ascertainment of vaccination status for all personnel within 14 days of the effective date of this Order. Thereafter, they must obtain updated vaccination status for all personnel who were not fully vaccinated every 14 days. Business and governmental entities must maintain appropriate records to demonstrate compliance with this provision.

While HIPAA laws prevent governments from asking about personal health information, the fascists in the Santa Clara Public Health Office think they’re  exceptionally clever in skirting around these rules by demanding that companies violate the personal freedoms of citizens.

This HAS TO BE challenged in court or America is truly lost!

  1. They are correct.

They have declared sanctuary cities, violating federal and constitutional law. They have not been punished for that. Therefore, no law has any meaning.

Post rule of law will take a lot of getting used to. You will need a gang, unless you are personally strong and skilled enough to defeat multiple opponents on your own.

    1. We haven’t had a rule of law in my lifetime.

We have the rule of lawyers, who draft unreadable orders (like this one) and unreadable, incoherent legislation with no purpose other than to find excuses to let wicked rich men do what they like, and throw anybody who is a threat to them in prison, while real thieves, frauds and murderers do as they like.

The Law handed down by God was not only easy to understand, it was impossible to misunderstand—and short and clear enough for a 13-year-old to memorize by heart.

This makes it much harder to do wicked things and then argue you did nothing wrong—or accuse somebody of being wicked who clearly had done nothing wrong.

  2. As the divide between authoritarian progressive states and libertarian(ish) conservative states grow, I think we’ll see a great migration of people moving to like-minded states.

Historically, it reminds me of what happened in Europe during the Catholic Church’s ideological war against science. Science had to align with religious doctrine (think wokeness)..or else. Persecution of scientists caused intellectual capital to move northwards, away from the Mediterranean. Innovation and and prosperity followed.

There’s an opportunity for states that respect individual rights, lower taxes and diversity of thought to attract “refugees” from authoritarian, progressive-conformity states and provinces. It’s already happening in the US as people relocate to Florida, Texas, etc. The covid lockdowns and crazy vaccine protocols may be the final straw for anyone who chafes at the overt authoritarianism of the past year.

FYI, that never happened. You need to correct your position, and learn some actual history. You are quoting myth. Or, continue to believe whatever you want to believe. Your choice.

  3. Force the unvaccinated to sew yellow stars on their clothing – problem solved!

  4. The whu who flu has a 99.8% recovery, carry on you idiots and morons.

    1. A 99.8% recovery would mean 1 in 500 die. It’s probably more like 99.99%, at least among the population as a whole. An important distinction!

That number really only drops when you purposely select a vulnerable demographic like the elderly and/or those with preexisting conditions (see: New York’s most famous mass murderer, Andrew Cuomo).

  5. ” … by demanding that companies violate the personal freedoms of citizens.”

And, as it will be in Canada, the businesses will meekly comply.

  6. We’ve traced the call. It’s coming from inside the house. Just get outta that house!

  7. So … for all intents and purposes … Silicon Valley is the location of our Federal Government. Might as well make DC a State and transfer all Constitutional references to San Jose.

    Sick.
    Sick.
    Sick.

The REAL health emergency is this.

  8. The whole system is ass-backwards. A citizen should be able to deny access to the info, citing 4th amendment protected rights, and then the company should have to get a favorable decision from SCOTUS before being able to demand the data. As it is, the companies can fire or deny a job to people who withhold their data, and if they can’t afford justice, they’re screwed.

  9. Pallister just announced he has cooperation from Trudeau to use Stats Can data to help with contact tracing. WTF??????

  10. Just a reminder that this is the same county health dept that has refused to investigate the TB epidemic in the county for the last three plus decades. Because the primary source of TB in the county (and surrounding counties) are illegals from Mexico and Central America. That’s how one of my kids was exposed to TB and had to receive a long and painful treatment programme.

The author of this Order has been a government bureaucrat for decades, has no meaningful clinical experience, or relevant scientific background either ( I know exactly what her qualifications actually mean) and given that she is a Standford grad and lives in Palo Alto will be in real life a credentialized idiot. Palo Alto is full of them. She is too stupid to realize that the order is illegal on so many levels and too arrogant to care. She needs to be hauled up in front of a Civil Grand Jury and have some sense beaten into her.

  11. Excuse me, but why should I be worried whether or not YOU are vaccinated? If *I* am vaccinated, I am safe, right? Right?

So why are you worried that I might not be vaccinated, as if that makes me somehow a danger to you, if YOU are vaccinated? If YOU are vaccinated, the vaccine makes you safe, right? Right? So even if I am not, and I am covered with disease and a walking cloud of disease, you are safe, because you are vaccinated, and the vaccine works, right? Right?

You only have a concern about whether I am vaccinated if the vaccine DOES NOT WORK. And if it does not work, why are you worried if anyone is vaccinated?
