  1. Discussing current affairs, check out Fox Nation, “The Wise Guys.” Host Bill Bennett, former Education Secretary under Pres Reagan interviews Conrad Black, Gordon Chang, author of “The Coming Collapse of China”, Dr Marty Makary, Prof John Hopkins School, and George Murdock aka Tyrus, Fox News contributor and host.

Saw this on TV, the last question posed to the panel was unfortunately cut from the piece. It was about whether the Republic of the USA will survive as a republic. The members of this panel all said that they thought it would, most definitely.

    1. It will not survive if they do not fix the voting system. The evidence of fraud in the last election is overwhelming. It needs to be investigated properly and fixed. Otherwise, cheating will happen again and again, and effectively end the Republic.

      1. Sidney Powell and others are still working their case. This was the biggest fraud in political history, no doubt about it. This President* is an illegal one. The Republic can be saved if they work on it, it has to work. This is the last place for salvation on the Planet.

  2. That video makes me sad to see what we’ve lost as a country.

    1. As soon as the “Musicians” claimed that Carbon Dioxide was causing “Climate Emergency”, they showed their knowledge and level of intelligence is on par with “actors”.

      1. Getting rid of 100 musicians, unnecessary energy expenditure, would be effective.
Sad for the musicians but sacrifices must be made. One can listen to energy efficient recordings. No reason to play live music, stage lights, amps, everyone driving to a venue. We could have Zoom concerts, listening to a Mp3.

      1. As I said many time before, John Ringo’s “The Last Centurion” has been prophetic and will be taught in schools in the next century.

    2. Even the classical and operatic realms aren’t immune.

I remember hearing about a concert by, I think, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in which nuclear war or some such thing was being protested. (I don’t think it was called “Beethoven, Not Bombs”.)

Similarly, I’ve seen opera productions on TV which were similarly irritatingly dumb. For example, Beethoven’s Fidelio, which takes place in a Spanish prison several hundred years ago, was set by the Metropolitan Opera in some banana republic.

Some may argue that those “alternate” productions were made due to budgetary considerations, but as some movie mogul (Sam Goldwyn, maybe?) once remarked, “If you want to send a message, call Western Union.”

    3. That’s so stupid. Any musician with an ounce of integrity would recognize that they are being recruited for brainwashing– maybe getting paid too. What musicians think about climate change is totally irrelevant.

  3. One of the smartest things CP Rail ever did was move their head office to western Canada because this is where the action is. The present lull is temporary.
Unlike CN who is mandated to keep their head office in Montreal in spite of the fact that much of their business is WestCan oriented.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/canadian-pacific-buys-kansas-city-soutern-25bn-largest-deal-2021

As I have pointed out before, 80% of WestCan’s trade goes north – south and about 5 to 10% west to Asia.
We could have a lot more business like this if WestCan became free to make it’s own rules to doing business with the world instead of being hamstrung by the tiny tots in Ottawa who clearly have no clue as to how to run a business.
Rex Murphy recently pointed out that this Trudeau federal govt is the worst govt this country has ever had.
Why in the hell is Western Canada still part of that pathetic Liberal communist excuse in Ottawa?

And Rex Murphy should be appointed WestCan’s first honorary citizen if he doesn’t move here. heh.

    1. Many years ago, I bought CP Rail around the mid-30s. After staying in a narrow trading range, I sold them when they went up to $100. I sometime feel like kicking myself for not hanging on to them and selling them for much higher.

On the other hand, like one business writer once said, you can’t go wrong taking a profit. During those doldrum years, those shares paid out nice dividends, so I still made money.

    1. Listened to the entire segment. Every Canadian needs that history lesson! Patriotism and liberty are fundamental values that all Canadians should be willing to embrace. I must admit that I have not given the PPC enough of a hearing. I am starting to think they have a the kernel that Canadians can rally around.

      1. I am afraid I will never vote for another politician from Quebec. It is just a wasted vote no matter who it is.

  4. My spidey sense made me suspicious of this whole Covid 19 virus right from the beginning starting with the boasting of one Peter Daszel. And the quick clean up of the supposed culprit wet market done by China.
There have been many other strange happenings along the way, especially with the ability to use much cheaper drugs like Ivermectin and HCQ to help minimize the damage being done to our economies.
And yet these suggestions were vigorously and studiously denied by govts.
And now we have some more info on the bizarre things going on behind the scenes with WHO, featuring big players like Bill Gates.

    https://principia-scientific.com/who-insider-blows-whistle-on-gates-and-gavi/

It turns out Gates did not want much at all – all he wanted originally was to be treated like just another NATION at WHO and have the same powers.
    How bizarre is that?
The longer this apparently man-made disaster virus rolls out, the bigger and smellier the stench is going to get.
Some of that smell might be of tar, feathers and pitch forks when all is said and done.

As Mo Strong once said at the Rio Earth Climate Summit in 1992:
“We may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrialized civilization to collapse.
Isn’t it our responsibility to bring this about?”

Is Covid 19 the first attempt to do exactly that?

    1. Rockyt, the short answer IMO is yes!
My brother and I back in Feb, when this was just getting into the news, looked at each other and asked…is the this the big play?
AGW had been the first attempt, with varying degrees of success. Carbon taxes, carbon credits, shuttering of O& G resource extraction etc. We had a feeling the virus was unleashed because the fear of AGW was not motivating the governments, media and the corporatocracy to over turn the global economy.
As we have seen, the virus has been much more successful. Just my 2 cents.

      1. Not just Gates but also the United Nations, International Monetary Fund, and World Economic Forum. At the 3:17 mark in this 2017 video, David Galipeau of the U.N.’s Social Impact Fund regarding the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, gives a population range of between 2 and 12 billion people based on the meta intelligence that is coming in. In 2017, the world’s population was just over 7 billion. To have 5 billion or more people disappear in the interval on account of political, economical or humanitarian factors would make Goebbels proud. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELkmtyslGkY&t=220s

  5. Lot’s of free dinero available, for CRA hackers:
    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/article-identity-fraud-complaints-nearly-doubled-in-2020-over-2019/

‘Chris Chezepock thought he was making a simple call to unlock his online taxpayer account when he rang up the Canada Revenue Agency on Wednesday morning.

Instead, the 31-year-old Toronto man discovered that his identity had been hijacked, with a CRA agent informing him that his banking information changed, and two fraudulent applications had been made under his name for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit.

“It was quite a stressful morning, because I’m thinking what about my credit cards, what about everything?” Mr. Chezepock said.

He is one of nearly 800,000 Canadians who have had their accounts locked by the CRA over security concerns in recent months. And he is also part of an unhappy and growing subset: the more than 10,000 taxpayers whose accounts have been illicitly accessed by hackers, using stolen log-in credentials to try to obtain CERB benefits.

It’s not yet clear how successful those fraudulent efforts were in obtaining CERB benefits, worth $2,000 a month for a maximum payout of $14,000. In a statement, the CRA did not directly respond to a question about how many fraudulent CERB payments had been obtained. But the agency did note in a statement that taxpayers who fall prey to these identity theft attacks will not be responsible for any unauthorized claims, and that it is strengthening security protocols for user log-ins.

Mr. Chezepock said the CRA agent he spoke to wasn’t sure whether the two claims submitted under his name resulted in any payments being made – or whether a tax slip is headed his way that would require him to pay income tax on any benefits. CRA agents told him repeatedly not to worry, and that he could disregard any tax slip; he’s finding it hard to take the advice not to fret”.

    1. Heh. I have filed “paper” returns with REVCAN, ever since I filed my own taxes. Ever since I turned 18. I have a REVCAN acct, but I never used it, even my company one. Yeah, I even book kept and filed my Corporate taxes myself. On paper, for years. It’s not rocket science. I’ve caught out REVCAN a few times trying to scam me variously, on either the corporate or personal accounts. I still file paper personal returns, working on it this weekend. No online filing, submitting or correspondence. Usually dropped off in the bin at Harry Hayes in Calgary, but with COVID, in the mail, registered. I keep copies.

  6. Blacklock reports the contractor that handles visa applications for Canada in China, never asked employees if they were members of the communist party. The contractor explains that the communist party is simply a grass roots organization.

  7. At what point do we Conservatives have to say enough is enough ? Libs are still ahead of the cons no matter how much O’Toole tries to appease the woke left . He is getting played like a cheap fiddle by the media that finds ways for him to step into another one of their cow patties . It is sad to think that a man such as Pierre Poilievre has been brushed aside the way he has .
Maybe it’s time for a rebirth of the Reform Party .

    1. We can’t hard-right our way out of this. We have to stare reality in the face: Canada is a ~65% progressive country. And only inching higher every year. Harper’s vote ceiling was 39%. And that was facing a dysfunctional Liberal party and a highly effective NDP leader who severely cut into Liberal vote totals.

We misread Harper’s success at our great peril; it was much more about the Liberals being unable to get their act together after being removed from power over sponsorship, than it was about Canadians becoming more open to conservative policies. Once the Liberals finally got the pretty new appealing coat of paint on, they were returned to power with something of a vengeance.

The further right the CPC goes, the more votes they put into the Liberal column via two factors. “Soft” progressives who get scared away from (C) back into (L), and “hard” progressives who move from (N) to (L) explicitly to keep the CPC out.

I hate it, but this country is a progressive write-off. If the CPC wants to win government, it has to play the hand before it, not the hand it wishes it had. And that means. Ugh. Going where the votes are. Go to the centre, don’t scare off the “soft” progressives, don’t give the “hard” progressives reasons not to vote (N). The delegates failed to see that picture, failed to craft any meaningful alternative. They’ve now given Trudeau an enormous club with which to beat O’Toole in the next campaign, and O’Toole was not wrong to say it straight out.

Do I think this approach will achieve anything useful in the long run? No. Canada’s a write-off. A complacent priggish state that will eventually suffer some kind of economic collapse out of its preening ignorance. Conservative governments won’t change that fate. Act accordingly.

    2. Conservatives lost by 36 seats and won the popular vote.So yea they are done.I also believe the liberal polling companies that put Justin ahead they have to be true as well.So let’s give up sit back and complain full time.

      1. Hillary won the popular vote over Trump. She never got to be POTUS (thank $DEITY$).

Racking up huge wins in slam-dunk seats while losing tons of others does not a government make.

    3. PPC is on the right track. They will be vilified by the media, but I believe they will gain traction over time with their common sense and pro democracy policies. O’Toole has no attraction. I expect PPC will gain much ground in the upcoming election.

  8. The depressing music and grubby 16mm news camera visuals make me want to slash my wrists. Canada was a much happier, more optimistic country back in the days before government sanctioned fear campaigns designed to make everyone run for the shelter of socialism.

  9. Blackie’s CBC is excited that in Fort Francis Ontario, the council will be changing the name of Colonization Road. The name is offensive to Indians and girly boys in the town.

    1. So when is Yellowknife going to go “woke” and change the name of this historical location?

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragged_Ass_Road_(street)

I visited the city as part of a choir tour and I remember seeing the name on the map that I had with me at the time.

One account of its history I heard stated that the name originated during WW II. Some officer was at one of the military facilities there, wasn’t impressed by what he saw, and asked “Who’s in charge of this ragged-ass outfit?” According to that story, the name stuck.

  10. The latest step on the road to the total Nazification of America is this step.

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/03/creepy-former-doj-prosecutor-glenn-kirschner-connected-seth-rich-case-now-wants-every-business-america-pledge-2020-election-accurate/

When do they go full on and get the Armed Forces to swear the Fuhrereid. The vilification of the Oath Keepers by the media is just another step in removing the Constitutional Oath from America. This is exactly how Hitler started.

    1. Totally weird. This maneuver smacks of Chinese Communist manipulation. The attempt to force companies to endorse a phony statement is not in sync with American culture. A dead giveaway that someone is worried they might be caught manipulating the election. It’s such a dumb thing to do, I am almost falling off my chair at how ignorant these people are.

    2. Next step might be things like requiring this loyalty oath be signed before boarding your next flight (along with your vax card, of course)?

    1. That’s so funny. Hilarious. That’s a lot of free donuts. Maybe Bill Gates owns Krispy Kreme also. Can we get the free donuts in Canada?

  11. In case anyone is wondering, Big Chief Gay Eagle With No Balls is in Quebec again throwing money around. Just part of his taxpayer funded election tour.

  12. Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 23 is International Puppy Day…check this out…
    https://pitbulltime.com/national-puppy-day/

This gal, in the video below, is having a ‘Dog’ Day afternoon. You gotta love this. Watch the amazing training and perfection Doggo has achieved, he is so cool:
    https://youtu.be/sE0lfn4d21A

My neighbor Oz is the same breed. I was formally introduced to him a few days ago. He let me pet him on the head and scratch behind his ears…(“ahhh, she knows my name”) so then he laid on his back (“ahhh, scratch my belly!”) for more! He was so cute and friendly.

    1. He could never be mistaken for my canine stepbrother. All he wants to do, if he isn’t trying to mooch food from me, or trying to be “friendly” with my arm when I want to sleep, he wants to play “go und get it”.

I recorded a video of him several months ago. One night, I came up out of the basement of my house in B. C. and went into the bathroom to wash my hands. The little rascal went and got his squeaky of choice because he wanted to play GUGI, even at that hour.

As far as Oz is concerned, now that you’ve scratched him behind ears, as well as his belly, I’m sure you’ve become his friend for life. Each time he sees you now, you’ll be expected to do that.

  13. Apparently muslims are more important than Canadians. Blackie has joined the U.S. and the E.U. on putting sanctions on China for its treatment of muslims. But no sanctions on China kidnapping Canadians.

  14. Steven Del Dicka says if the liberals are elected they would kill highway 413 once and for all. That part is easy for liberals since they have spent all kinds of time killing the economy.

  15. Guess what happens when a Canadian academic says this:

“Amir Attaran has written on his personal Twitter account that Quebec’s culture is racist, that the Quebec government is being run by white supremacists, called the province the Alabama of the north and accused Quebec nurses of medical lynching and killing Joyce Echaquan, a 37-year-old Atikamekw woman who died in a hospital in 2020.”

His university administration leaps to his defence stating that “freedom of expression is not a buffet where one can pick and choose what kind of comments are acceptable.”

And if a professor were to say something negative about an indigenous person, would that same defence be forthcoming from the administration?

    https://ottawacitizen.com/news/local-news/pq-will-get-no-apology-from-university-of-ottawa-over-professors-controversial-tweets/wcm/40d91fe0-8ab1-4708-a827-22b0d592dec6

    1. Amir Attaran is a deceptive, malicious sleaze bag, in my view. He is an immigrant to Canada who has exploited the system to its max. He is very skilled at getting media attention. Unfortunately, his motives most often stem from mischief making, rather than from any real desire to improve things.

      1. LindaL: agree with your assessment of Attaran, but in this era of cancel culture, I have never heard a university administrator defend a professor’s right to speak freely until this instance, and of course in this case Attaran’s comment is perfectly acceptable to the left wingers who decide on the official narrative.

    1. The FBI is being very busy these days. Did they know this man was dangerous, was he under psychiatric observation?

  16. And now your Canadians are racist bastards story for today. So much to choose from in the bought and paid for media. How about the story at True North which reports that Canada’s Treasury Board has declared that systematic racism is running rampant in Canada.
