  1. What the Hell is a “racialized adult”?  Sounds like someone who didn’t have a race at one point but then became “racial-ized.”  Is that even a thing?  Does one become “racialized” via, say, surgery?

    Reporters are becoming even more enstupidized.  I presume it’s due to the lobotomy that now appears to be a condition of employment for the average journalist.

      Does one take classes to be racialised? Is there a process? Pills?

      For people who obsess about race, the left sure does hate using words that remind ordinary people what colour they are (in case they had forgotten).

  6. A sideshow folks. Until we achieve herd immunity and kill off covid, we will be locked down in one form or another FOREVER.

    Canada’s death rate fell off recent peaks, at the height of flu season, like June 2020 as deaths fell precipitously over the summer to under ten per day from 175. We’re locked down doing the right thing as measures and long term care facilities fail.

    As governments everywhere fail miserably to recognize the transmission of covid within these facilities as they moaned about the adolescent adults breaking the rules, the same people giving covid to old people in old folks homes.

    This is irrefutable. Who came into contact with residents? How else did it happen? This is a no brainer but politicians pander.
    Plenty of blame to go around, but also abounding opportunities, as yet unrecognized in the play it safe take 905 belt world.
    BTW, if you believe the data presented below, even assume covid/flu combined deaths, the second wave seems weaker.

    It’s too early for vaccinations to be make an impact. Time to get that thinking cap and manage instead of avoiding risk.
    Until we are vaccinated and cases fall below ? despite this metric’s shortcomings, we shall remain slaves to the state.
    Empty stadiums, theatres, Sooke Car Show and letting the long term care debacle presage a third wave of statist control.
    Oh, and covid too, but unlike the virus, a third wave of government control will be a much more powerful and virulent strain.
    Who will step up and convince the public to end this insanity? The Leviathan has us in a headlock; it needn’t care if we submit.

      1. Facts don’t matter to totalitarians, just what promotes their power, like holding society hostage to vaccines, regardless of their efficacy. Politicians are managing their risk by passing it on to society. They win by us losing. We lockdown, they gain power over us. It doesn’t have to be valid, it just has to scare people into the desired action, or inaction, as need be.

        Meanwhile we’re locked down as a covid second wave affects precisely the people they purported to protect.

        So the goalposts simply move from deaths, to cases, now to vaccines, next to whatever enhances their control over us.

        We need leaders to speak the truth, not parroted political science memes and talking points, to state unequivocally we’re not going to stand for another summer lockdown of failed herd immunity as deaths plummet and vaccine programs fail.

        We need leaders to say enough is enough; to motivate us to finally emerge from our deference to their fearmongering.

        Where are they?

    Liberals and Progs love the word because its divisive and inflammatory.
    Leaders of defined groups who use the word do so to get free stuff, to lay guilt trips and to increase their community power.
    Normal people should tell whoever uses it to FOAD.

    I’d just add to the critique the reference above from the article, which is a moving of the goal posts. Trudeau is on record as guaranteeing anyone who wants the vaccine will be able to get it by the end of September. That’s clearly not what this says — far from it, actually: depending on uptake rates among the identified priority population groups, vaccine availability and efficacy, etc., ‘sufficient anticipated supply starting in the fourth quarter’ is no guarantee at all.

    Maybe the “racialized” bollocks is the distraction, and the next Trudeau failure is already being positioned.

  15. I just heard some racialized professor on the the CBC say that while racialized people should get vaccinated first, not all racialized groups should get priority for the vaccine.

    Of course white people should be just left to die in this professor’s opinion, because of white privilege etc etc, but which racialized groups won’t be prioritized I wonder?

    Aboriginals and blacks will go to the front of the line no question, but who else? Maybe South Asians, West Asians and Arabs, but what about Filipinos and Latin Americans?

    I’m pretty sure that East Asians will get the short end of the racialized stick in this case. They might get upset about this, but they will definitely go before whites.

    Anyway it should be interesting when they actually have to start ranking racialized groups, and the reaction this provokes. Whites meanwhile will say nothing about this because it’s far better to let their elderly relatives die than to be called a racist.

  19. “Racialized” is a trigger word to get eyeballs. If you look at the article they are really talking about people who are in higher risk situations. Generally, these people are lower income and yes, they are usually non-white immigrants. It’s a dog whistle for the next election. The Liberals can now say to the immigrants, “hey we looked after you. We got you the vaccine, vote for us.” It’s a form of race-mongering.

  20. I think it’s simply tells us this attention they’re giving the racialized community, is because that is where all the cases are coming from.

    Perhaps the manner in which these communities conduct themselves via their cultural beliefs has something to do with the fact that they are over represented in the number of cases.

    In short it seems that we’re locked down because racialized communities are spreading the virus
