When a novel coronavirus erupts in the most populated nation on our very connected planet, anyone with half a brain knows the risk of an outbreak in Canada is not low. Or high. It’s 1. On a scale of 0 to 1. As in it will happen. If you heard tomorrow of a new flu strain in China, how would you rank the probability of it turning up here? Or a year ago? So why didn’t they?
 
Worse, why do those in power continue to emit that soporific bwa-bwa-bwa like Charlie Brown’s teachers, regardless of how wrong they’ve been in the past or what they’re prating about now? From the vetting process for governors general to runaway deficits to masks not working and closing borders being racist.
 
Next time Dr. Theresa Tam or Christine Elliott explains as if to a dim and insolent child the transcendent wisdom of the latest lockdown, release from lockdown, decision to delay the second vaccination dose or anything else, they’ll exude the same air of expertise sufficiently ponderous to smother all dissent. Even though every prediction they’ve made about this being a turning point, that being about to happen and the other being all but impossible has been wrong, nothing can dent their self-confidence.

  1. Every intelligent person in the country knows we are being screwed over. I guess the few of us who post here are the only one’s that do. .

    1. Slap a label on a pig as expert and our media and politicians will have you believe they know what they’re doing when they don’t.
      Remember, one of them stated that they’re just reading whatever somebody else has put up for them to read.

      They totally screwed this Pandemic up and people are being killed by this.
      Rather than reassess what they are doing and the mistakes, they double down on the mistakes.
      Lets open more beds and not change the system is dumb.

      That age old change that narrative has run it’s course as we all now have labels by our media experts.
      I found it a bit funny how they tried to make the US Unrest at the Capitol into a racist thing when it was not.

    We have been continually bombarded by the Notion that HOSPITALS and ICU’s Are stretched beyond capacity.

    If that was even remotely true, then I would have expected dozens if not more, Auxilliary Hospitals set up across the country. HAS ANYONE HERE SEEN ANY Evidence of this happening…?? ANYWHERE ..??

    NO.

    The fact of the matter is that the normal state of affairs in Any Canadian City or Town is that Hospitals and their ICU’s are ALWAYS FULL. Were this to be an “actual” pandemic ….??? We would have seen those auxilliarys being put up STAT.

    The DISINFORMATION the Drones are fed daily is simply astronomical…
    Even the use of the term”Vaccine” is bullshit. Said Treatments will NOT Immunize anyone, nor prevent anyone from acquiring said virus nor from spreading it around…Its good for What EXACTLY..??

    I also have an issue with the term “variant”.. (followed by “Far more Dangerous” of course).
    WTF is that even supposed to mean.? I suspect they figure most will consider it a “MUTATION” of Covid-Sars2. More disinformation. Any virus that goes through a populations immune systems become less and less virulent by day.

    So If there is An ACTUAL deadlier virus out there – its NEW and ….If real, WHO DROPPED IT…??

    Is there a Virus.?? Yep, but that in itself is nothing other than NORMALITY.
    I also present you the disappearance of the Seasonal Flu added to the FACT that there were less OVERALL deaths in Canada in 2020 than years past.

    1. steakman, I also have an issue with the term variant…..however, I own firearms, and the government has a very “flexible” use for that term with firearms. It’s a convenient word that has multiple useless connotations. I suspect the same bullshit is being used with the plandemic.

    2. Take it from an admitting doctor’s or administrator’s position:

      Someone comes in with sniffles, aches and/or a cough, and tests positive. Probably not life threatening since most who contract have mild symptoms (or no symptoms). Do you A) send them home with instructions to stay isolated, with a slight chance of the patient getting worse or even dying – and generating really bad career ending PR – while a bed stays empty? Or B) do you keep them there in an available bed?

      Of course you choose B (it’s a crisis after all), even if you’re lucky and the patient is asymptomatic and low risk. Once beds fill up, it’s not your problem anymore; it’s on someone else’s shoulders, and you get to complain about it to sympathetic Press who then beat up the politicians in charge, and funding/hiring is increased. Administrators are happy, unions are happy. The Press are doing something appearing to be useful, and hospital staff are seen as heroes. It’s win-win-win.

      But setting up an auxiliary hospital is highly visible and is something few people have experience or training for, with plenty of potentially embarrassing administrative pitfalls, so no one wants to do that.

        1. They keep throwing money at Jo Brant – we just got a massive new wing with all new equipment and facilities – when the real problem is the staff are incompetent and apathetic. JB is one of those hospitals that has a near constant c. difficile infestation.

          My ex was a nanny in Burlington and the parents used to tell her if there was a health emergency to drive the extra 15 minutes to St. Joseph’s in Hamilton and avoid Jo Brant.

          1. Daniel, I concur with your comment regarding incompetent staff. My late wife was admitted to JB after suffering a stroke. Two weeks later a psw dislocated her shoulder because she didn’t follow the correct procedure for bringing a stroke patient to sitting position. Instead of supporting her back the psw grabbed my wife’s right arm with was paralyzed and pulled her to a sitting position.

    3. It rapidly “morphed” into a political disease; one entirely engineered towards the massive enlargement of power over the peasantry.

      In winter my main work is snow clearing and we had an big blizzard the weekend of 07NOV’20. We worked twenty-one nights in a row to clear and haul our normal client list. Then we started getting calls from other people. At least a week later I got sent to clear snow at the facility that is set up as the auxiliary hospital. I’ve been doing this a few years, I can tell that place hadn’t had any customers. All the emergency exits and the ambulance entrance were still drifted in at least waist-high.

      Yes, this Plague of Wuhan has killed people, almost all of them in conditions of age and/or illness that made them very likely to die of the seasonal flu. But we will all die anyway eventually, and meanwhile the government has been stopping almost everyone from living. If/when they ever admit the panic is over, we’ll start at least a couple decades of clawing our way back economically. And that’s not to say we will ever catch up.

      We have a lot to re-learn about life and how the world works. We are governed by people appointed by voters (that’s us) who are aptly described as “not smart enough to tell us how to live our lives.”

    This is hilarious coming from a mainstream media talking head. He knows damn well why. They’re LYING, is why.

    Every single thing Theresa Tam etc, have said, from the start, is a lie. And it WORKS! Their lying gets them the results they want.

    They say “masks bad!” one week and everyone dutifully goes along, and doesn’t wear a mask. They say “masks good!” literally a week later and everybody dutifully wears a mask. Homemakers get busy and sew up thousands of masks and give them away. Everybody is all about the masks. They say “mask MANDATORY” and Karen gets out there to scream even the scofflaws into compliance. Lockdowns? Hell yeah, everybody is on board for some lockdown action. Job loss? Shut up!

    So the lying liars keep lying! They smugly and sanctimoniously go in front of the camera and say whatever bullsh1t their bullpen crapped out for them that day, and the longer it works the smugger and more sanctimonious they look.

    And in 1975, it would still be working. But this is 2020, and uh oh word is getting out through side channels and back channels, and would you look at that there’s a frigging anti-mask anti-lockdown protest parade every damn weekend in Toronto with a couple thousand people attending and clogging up Yonge Street. Every. Freaking. Weekend.

    But the smugness and sanctimony remain, because THEY are the ones lying on TV and WE are the ones walking around downtown in the cold, not on TV. We are getting kicked off social media, and they aren’t. So they just keep on doing what works. Lying.

    And they’ll keep right on. They’ll be doing it until one day, suddenly, it all comes crashing down on them. Oops.

  13. We all know that the ChiCom virus is most serious to the elderly and mostly those with immune deficiencies, obesity, diabetics, and pulmonary issues. These groups should have been the priority and for most of them (elderly), the easiest to self isolate. The only potential benefit of general lockdowns was a deferral of infections not a reduction of infections. Because the state is a crisis hog, every aspect of the “pandemic” is hyper partisan with politics trumping health outcomes, economy, morality and decency. For example, effective drugs (Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin) which should be over the counter and have been widely distributed in India are essentially verboten where the western welfare states are “managing the crisis”. Whether from fear of criticism for under-responding or letting out their inner totalitarianism, governments have all jumped on the blanket lockdown bromide. The experimental vaccines that are now being administered have been approved without the normal testing on animals. People who are opposed to GMOs in food (irrationally IMHO), are now OK with GMing themselves? Perhaps it is ironically a good thing that the most incompetent PM in Canadian history has also botched the vaccine acquisitions allowing us to see how they work for everyone else before having to decide to get ours.

  14. Over 2,300 well paid federal public servants “work” at the Public Health Agency of Canada – Canada’s official front-line fighting force against epidemics. They attend, in large numbers, all of the numerous international conferences on public health issues to, supposedly, keep up-to-date on all of the latest developments in their field. The Wuhan Flu, however, has revealed the agency to be grossly incompetent.

    “Doctors and epidemiologists said the agency became populated by civil servants with no background in public health. They told The Globe that important information often had to be “dumbed down” before it was moved up the chain of command, while early warnings about the urgency of the outbreak were shrugged off or ignored by directors within the department. ” (link below)

    But apart from the Globe & Mail (the source of the above quote), the mainstream media have hidden this incompetence from Canadians. It should have been the lead story for weeks in all media outlets, but that would make the Supreme Leader look bad, and he could cut off their taxpayer funding as a result. So the Canadian sheeple (sheep-people) are kept in the dark, and are ready and willing to re-elect Justin with a fresh majority. What a country.

  15. If THEY cut off the Gov Generals Pensions and “office expenses” that would save one hellova lot more $$$$ than dropping dead all the Grannies and Grampies in this God Forsaken Shell of a country.

    That whole Gov General Pay/payouts pisses me off. Useless “position”.

The position has its uses, but even for those of us who recognize them, it is perfectly adequately rewarded by the salary of c$150k per year with a nice big house with staff and expenses paid for. There is no explanation of why a former Governor-General needs to maintain an office at the public’s (or their own) expense when they no longer have the job.

    Reminds me when Clarkson was in Calgary – she rode the C Train and was miffed because no one recognized her.
    Big waste of money having RCMP protect someone nobody cares about,

    1. Actually, given her previous history of a fatal collision and an assault charge, we would be well served if the RCMP protected us from her.
