    Next summer will be crazy. So many unemployed with the coming winter lockdown will burn through the last of their savings (if they had any). So many more will snap from Trump being re-elected. Next summer there will be so many more literally crazy people, unemployed, destitute, hungry, adding to the Useful Idiot ranks, but also others violently confronting them
    Keep seeing people saying we’re repeating 1930’s history, with fascists (AntiFa) running around. I fear that the better analogy is 1920’s history, with the original “anti-fascists”, the Communists (AntiFa) running around. I live in a small 200 unit mobile home park in south Texas. there is about 45 people living here full time, the rest are winter Texans. this is a shareholder owned park. we have many Canadians here in the winter months. our 7 person board of director’s includes 4 Canadian’s, all strong libs. and blackie lovers. and there is only one board member living here full time. so, a month ago the board decided by telephone conference to close our rec. hall. because on the covid. after 2 weeks of the lockout a group of 25 of us or more decided that was enough of that. my wife has a key to the building, so, we went there on sat. morning, opened the door, sat down and had our regular sat. coffee and donuts. in comes the one board member who lives here. she scream’s ” you can’t be in here. it’s closed”. we (politely) told here to FO, it’s our rec. hall and we are staying. a week later we got a memo that the rec. hall now was open. i suppose they sent that to save a little face.
    if we do this on a bigger scale like OWG says, we will win. everybody here is now fired up, there is going to be more changes made here. we know we now have the power and the BOD is running scared.
    really a good feeling.

  7. I have brought up the ’68-69 Hong Kong flu with people stating the numbers – 1-4 million dead world wide and over 100,000 in the US – and people go blink blink.
    All the nurses associations and medical professionals are crying out that the sky is falling.
    The gutless politicians have a lot of support from a populace of ignorant turds who will call on your ass for sneezing in your backyard. These are the three enemies. The Trifecta. (I don’t care to count journalists.)

    But wait till the next H2N2’s cousin comes along. By then they’ll have perfected the surveillance. You won’t be able to leave your abode without a Hall Pass.

    Keeping your guns doesn’t help when the Trifecta Enforcers have them as well as armoured cars & snipers.

    2. The problem with the “next time” is that given the utter Stupidity of Sanitizing every object known to man, wearing masks, all social Distancing BS, we are setting ourselves up for a true pandemic…one on the scale of the Spanish Flu or worse.

      Mankind has survived numerous “flu’s” … and will continue to do so for ONE REASON ONLY: Our IMMUNE systems. And it completely pisses me the Hell off when not ONE mofo’ing person in our “vaunted” Health CARE SYSTEM has ever even acknowledged that salient FACT.

  8. If you placed all the police in Canada and all of Canada’s military in one large city, that would be all they could effectively manage should there ever be any major civil disobedience. Which I don’t see happening.

    The strongest opposition to civil disobedience, even very mild civil disobedience, is the reverence the Canadian heart and mind has for law, order and government.

    It will take a revolution of thought to overcome that. It was that same reverence that had to be overcome in America back when.

    I tend to think there is no possibility of any such event.

        2. Actually, democracy was designed to work as a voluntary association of free people that have the decency of abiding by certain agreed on principles.
          Today’s so called democracy and those that constantly beat their chests telling everybody that they’re democrats would be completely unrecognized by those that thought it out.
          It does not follow that everybody agrees with everybody else, it just means that there is this thing called pursuation by a better argument.

    Guns themselves do not accomplish much. But the THREAT of guns is what accomplishes everything. FEAR is a huge motivator.

    I own guns and have been shooting since I was a little girl.

        I bet I have dropped more big game, grouse, geese and ducks that you have by an order of magnitude. To say nothing of the carnage I left in the gopher population on my Grandpa’s farm. But it was all that gopher shooting as a kid that honed my marksmanship skills as an adult. It is much harder to sneak up on a large animal than a human. Humans are stupid. They dont smell. They cant hear. They can barely see and they make a lot of racket everywhere they go.

  15. I’ve been saying to my Canadian brethren who legally own guns, that we must remember there are over two million of us. If we collectively, or even only ten percent of us refuse to comply with the May first gun ban, we would tie up the courts for twenty years. As a whole, if we collectively combine our refusals to be controlled, either by government, Texan Trailer park directors, Karens, or any antifa, BLM types opposed to what the majority desire, we can overcome peacefully. Peaceful resistance and the occasional mischief, but remaining within the law (mostly) The governments are “supposed” to be working for us, not against us, but sigh, as vowg says, we need to develop a collective spine, and that appears to be difficult for us polite Canadians to do. Trump has a spine, and look what he’s getting done despite the TDS objectors. When he wins by a landslide in November, the final conflict will begin. The US, and Australia and Canada, we’ll all need our guns then. Wake up!
