  11. All I know about Proud Boys, I learned from Joe Rogan. They supposedly protect speakers who have been threatened by Antifa et al, sort of like the Patriot Guard blocks Westboro Baptist adherents from harassing grieving military families. What I don’t know, but would like to know, is if any of them have actually been arrested, detained, indicted, or convicted for intervening in the riots.

  13. Interesting take on men’s clubs of yore. When I started working in the early seventies it seemed like everyone belonged to a club. Now, no one does.
    Weird.

    1. I and a gay friend designed a strip club back in the mid-1980’s. My big take on it was that it was a private men’s club with a really good buffet. He is right in that there were a lot of semi-naked women walking around but no “ladies”. It seems as if the guys just needed to get away from the women in their lives if only once a week.

    2. I have always seen ‘clubs’ as collectivist. There is always jockeying for position and lot’s of stupid ideas about what to do with the collective to justify the meet up. Wind up raising money for charity or some other slop.

      I see Proud Boys as an attempt to reintroduce normalcy to our culture. it is badly needed because everyone has gone crazy.

  14. Well I gotta admit, I’ve heard of them several times over the last couple of years, but never really understood what or who they really were, only that they were white supremacists. Turns out, they are not. Anti gay perhaps, but not racist, as portrayed probably by Antifa’s and BLM ers. Racist is the default accusation today to shut down discussion on anything pro right. Muslims get away with being anti gay and racist, and they are tolerated. Well, as others here have stated, I’m glad to learn a little more about them. Not a club I really want to join, but understand why it evolved. I enjoyed the video, and found some of it mildly amusing, but I also agree that he used a gay slur, and feel it was unwarranted. I’m not pro or anti gay, just a live and let live type, but don’t rub my nose in your lifestyle, whether its gay, religious, or democrat, or anything else. If you do rub my nose in it, I’m likely to take umbrage and rub back. So no, I don’t like or agree with “Gay pride parades” plus I wouldn’t want a straight pride parade either, that’s rubbing peoples noses in your shit, whether they like it or not, and that I don’t agree with. Keep your stuff to yourself and engage in civil discourse that enhances our contract with each other for a social functioning society. Apart from that, be nice to others and expect them to be nice to you, behave yourself, pay your bills, and leave your private stuff private.

    Antifa and BLM, Soros, and Democrats ARE trying to rub our noses in their shit whether we like it or not, so having a few groups out there, like this Proudboys, and others, that will push back is, I think, not a bad idea. They, the lefties, are trying to drag America in a direction that they want, even when most of it’s citizens don’t want to go that direction. They want to force a fundamental change on the promise of America, that most disagree with. They, the other side, is being shown that when they go too far, our side will only tolerate so much, before we decide to set things straight again. We don’t push back often and are mostly tolerant, but there is a limit or a line they should not cross, yet they have done so, many times now, and then they get what they deserve. Hopefully, they’ll eventually get the message before they are completely wiped out. If they want to be radical and edgy, go for it, but don’t force others to like it, or to conform to it, that’s rubbing others with your shit that they don’t want.
