Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

What They Say About SDA
"Smalldeadanimals doesn't speak for the people of Saskatchewan" - Former Sask Premier Lorne Calvert
"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
Trumps reply: “Yawn. Do you guys ever read the news? Venezuela? Read anything about Venezuela?”
Pssst … Canada. We. Don’t. Need. Your. Oil. Anymore than we need Iranian ‘conflict oil’. All ‘conflict oil’ is to be avoided.
I realize that ratfcker Kinsella is just passing along info, but he probably agrees that using energy leverage against the US of A is shrewd.
As opposed to fcking retarded.
There are 2 ways to use oil and gas and mining as leverage in USA trade negotiations.
1) The federal government can present western province’s oil and gas and mining assets as energy/resource security for North America, a strategic assets that can be expanded to benefit Canada and America. Then use that as leverage to get favorable trade.
2) The federal government can threaten to restrict the USAs access to the western province’s oil and gas and mining. Then attempt to use that leverage to get a better deal for central and eastern Canada, at the expense of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
If option 2 is what they’re considering, it would be a monumental error. Not only would it anger the US but it will dramatically increase Alberta’s support for independence. So, I assume option 2 is the most likely result since our retarded federal government and the rest of Canada want to be belligerent to Trump and are completely oblivious to the political and economic issues in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Energy leverage on the world’s number one producer? Sure Jan, that’ll work. It would have worked, if over the last ten years development ran at pace, and we were sending a couple or three million more bbl/day down there on a pipe, but no, everything was frozen, so now we have no leverage. Exxon and Chevron will have 2 million more bbl/day coming out of Venezuela within a year, and they have a government beholden to the US now.
Doing business with Canada is feeding the globalist enemy, doesn’t fit with Trump’s war on the
The City of London, globalists, of which Mark Carney is a regional manager. You made me laugh … seeing that “sure Jan” has become the meme of the moment.
Carney Barker has TOP people working on negotiating with Trump … really top … people. Like George Glass.

Canada works for China.
China wants the oil.
Canada will offer Canadian oil but never deliver.
Ab/Sas will sell their oil and lose their freedom.
The goal is to isolate the US economically by locking their economy onto a vanishing resource, oil, and an obsolete technology, ICE’s.
Oil isn’t a vanishing resource:

Also, ICE vehicles aren’t even close to being obsolete. That’s total BS.
You’re clearly too young to remember “the oil crisis” and no less than the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES certifying we’d reached ‘peak oil’

I know … because this was what a ‘rookie driver’ experienced firsthand … long lines for gasoline.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh mommmmaaaaaaaa … was that to be our new normal? Because Carter said so. And he KNOWS … because he’s surrounded by top people. Really TOP … scientists.
I’m really, really hoping that come 19 October in Alberta that this will be a moot point.
My thoughts PRECISELY!
Ottawa: pound sand thank you very much.
But not sand with oil in it. That would be unthinkable.
Well a gritty lube up their eastern commie pinko Hershey highway would be somewhat acceptable just for the laughs!!!
That’s SACRED indigenous sand to you … paleface.
Great Turtle pounded sand up the butt of Thunderfish, and thus Wasaga Beach was formed. This is the tradition of my people.
Here is what I think has happened to our country. I like to read the news and, obviously, even engage in discussing it and reading other people’s opinions on it. I believe it was about 25 years ago that I began to encounter an increasing number of people who said that they never read or watch the news anymore. They usually say “It is too depressing”. I was surprised at this because I believe that if you don’t pay attention to what’s going on around you something will bite you in the azz. I think there is now a large number of people who just place their trust in government to look after them and make the right decisions. The liberals figured this out and have used it to gain and hold power. They avoid telling people anything negative or depressing and tell people what they want to hear. We used to have journalists and news sources who would vigorously question the government, verify their claims, and hold them to their promises. Other than a very limited number of independent news sources that has largely ceased to occur. Our MSM is funded by the Liberal government so they protect and support that government. The Liberals have been aggressively trying to pass legislation that enables them to censor online content and speech. That would give them control over the small number of independents who do question the government properly. After that occurs this Liberal government will be free to do as it wants without any questions. It is the duty of Canadian citizens to be informed about the way their government is operating, question them, hold them to their promises and to vote accordingly. Yes, the news can be depressing. Truth is not always pretty but confronting reality is imperative to making proper decisions in an election. Canadian apathy is killing the country.
The Cons aren’t any better. On every file that matters, they’ve been in lockstep with the Libs.
“The Cons aren’t any better. On every file that matters, they’ve been in lockstep with the Libs.”
Exactly, Daniel. We have the illusion of choice, at best.
Liberal, Tory, same old story…
I will be fascinated to see,how eastern Canada’s vision of the “Nation” holds up when the West stops paying the extortion fees.
Sure we can hope for a bloodless independence, but that has never been the case when dealing with parasites and thieves.
The loss of Western revenues is an existential threat to Can Ah Duh.
They will attempt every dirty trick in the book,up to and including murder.
What will be their Coutts “Conspiring to murder RCMP” stunt for this year?
Will they reinvent Diagolon?
Will they announce that the failure to give them our guns,is an act of rebellion?
Will this “new Majority Government” make retroactive law, criminalizing all who question it?
Oh.
Right.
Of course,the real question..
When will they make the case for Canada?
Can they?
Cause I ain’t seeing it.
Absolutely correct JR.
When dealing with parasites, thieves… well let’s just call them what they are: full blown socialists… the only thing they understand is brute force. Otherwise they’ll try to drag you into the bullshit pen down there with them.
I think Don Cherry used to use Pinko Commies. I wish we had more folks like Don.
Global:
… “Remove Canadian energy exports from the equation and the US enjoys a trade surplus of $45 billion”
Please do open negotiations with that threat.
L – “The Art of the deal” was not written by either Trudeau, nor Carney. Not only are they not qualified to write it. They are also not qualified to read it.
If Danielle Smith can stop being so agreeable to the carpetbagger strangulating the Canadian economy. Alberta can avoid being turned into, as is British Columbia, a part of China’s Belt and Road plan.
This sums it all up very nicely:

What will be hilarious is if the Liberals try that, Enbridge Line 5 will be shut down and Sarnia will be out of luck.
The level of stupid and gaslighting is beyond extreme here. All of it aimed at the LIEberal Boomer voters, to keep them blond, deaf and dumb.
The truth? The Americans are not stupid, yet the Cult believes, emphatically, to their core, that the Americans are dumb hicks of Deliverance lore.
The Americans know that the CCP has deeply infiltrated Canadastan, especially for the oil resources still on the ground. Ever wonder why there has been such opposition to developing more oil sands? It’s all part of the CCP plan, to keep it in the ground until the Chinese REALLY need it. The Americans know.
Hence, Venezuela. Heavy Oil, of course, similar enough to Northern Alberta’s to substitute it. Period. And, if needed, they will soon have an Iranian option as well. Lordy, Lordy.
The Liberals only know gaslighting and propaganda. Do we really have to wait 10 years for the worst of the Boomers to die off?
Well said! And I want to live long enough to see what the ChiComs do to the indigenous obstruction to resource development in Canada. Yeah, that’s when the REAL genocide starts.
Kneel Young (I liked reading that one) will be long dead by then, so he’ll offer no help
Kneel is too busy growing dope on his California acreages to give a whoop about Canadastan.
He’ll just virtue signal a new screed and drawl from downtown Armpit, California.
Exactly how would they use Alberta oil and gas as leverage? Threaten to stop shipping it to the US? To raise the price? That’s all I can think of, and both are laughable.
Cut oil shipments to the US and they will get oil from elsewhere, and once we have lost that market, we will never get it back.
We already sell oil to the US at a cut rate. Try to raise the price and they just won’t pay it, why would they?
Export taxes. This would have a mild negative affect on the US while decimating western canada. Lieberals win.
And spaceport taxes would devastate Nova Scotia.
