Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

All fashion seems to come back around into style.
The medieval hoodie is neat. They’re probably the inspiration for
Buff HeadwearTM made in Spain.
These have been known to save people from frost or sunburn. They should be part of any wardrobe for any activity. Great year round and they come in different fabrics. They can be worn in at least fifteen different styles, for any activity. Available at any sporting goods store. If you don’t have one to ten of these you’re missing out, I have about two dozen:

Knockoffs are a waste of time & money, remember,
buy cheap, buy twice!
The medieval hood influenced academic garb:

Costs money to graduate! They get you coming and going.
Remember forking for that funny pileus quadralus?
Better hats for Doctorates, that’s you, Dr BADR! Congrats!
Thanks.
With each successive degree, the attire becomes more elaborate. My B. Sc. gown was similar to what I wore for my high school graduation.
For my doctorate, it was rather heavy by comparison. The sleeves came close to my wrist and they had thick stripes. The hood was wider as well, though, at my alma mater, we wore square caps.
Awesome! What a moment!
Years in the making.
It took the better part of 3 decades. Part of the reason was that I wanted to get some professional experience before starting grad school. Then I went back into industry for a while, only to become one of the many who were affected by the NEP (thanks for nothing, Pierre!) and, later, the idiocy of Lyin’ Brian.
One reason I went back to work was because grad school costs money. (One has to pay for all the useless aspects of campus life, such as diversity offices and climbing walls in the gym.) Of course, one can’t continue one’s studies when there’s no income from which one can set aside some of it for future endeavours.
Say Nancy what’s with that guy in the 2nd video talking about his Buff Merino Wool do-rag thing.
He claims the 2nd most important use for the article of clothing is its use as a blindfold.
He must play a lot of pin the tail on the donkey or is heavily involved in firing squad work.
Yeah thought that one was strange.
Maybe he’s on night shift and is too cheap to buy blackout curtains?
Girlfriend too fat? Plays a lot of games? Works at kindergarten? Knows Joe Biden types? Who knows? Ha!
“Maybe he’s on night shift and is too cheap to buy blackout curtains?”
Good one I hadn’t thought of that.
