  1. That will only be an option when the Chinese communists are overthrown and replaced by a government whose priority is making sure their dupes and collaborators in the West are unable to help the CCP return to power.

    This will probably have to be done by a disgruntled Chinese army, as China’s nuclear arsenal makes regime change by a foreign army impractical.

    5. Trump ignored the same experts as I did … experts like Gavin Newsom and the Drudge Report who screamed 200,000 will be DEAD in CA!! And 2M DEAD in America! Last I checked, CA has 900 COVID dead … but they’re going back through the last 12 months of deaths and trying to find more COVID cases … cause they bring in $200k ea. from the Fed’s. Junk science … once again. FEAR mongering and outlandish predictions of DOOM. All as a demonstration of government POWER over the people … “for our own good”.

      And now with testing in NY State we’re finding that 20% of the population is carrying the COVID antibody … thus driving the death rate down to a minuscule “flu” level. And only the sick and old are dying. There MAY be a worldwide pandemic that wipes out millions some day … but not this one.

    No restrictions in Canada until March 14. However, on January 17, the Canada Border Services Agency implemented signage in the Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver airports to raise awareness of the virus, and had added a health screening question to the electronic kiosks for passengers arriving from central China.

    1. And Canada Border Services instituted a special question for incoming passengers. In French and English. Which was no doubt a real help for those speaking/reading Cantonese or Mandarin. Just amazing how utterly stupid this government is.

  5. On February 29, Trump announced travel restrictions on foreign nationals who had been in Iran within the previous two weeks.

    12 days earlier, after a number of people returned from Iran with the virus, Canada’s Health minister said that closing a border was “not effective at all” at controlling the spread of disease. She also said it creates a greater risk to public health, that China has been very transparent and that transparency that allows countries to fight the virus would be gone.
