When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

Gen.Michael Flynn has withdrawn his guilty plea.

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn on Wednesday denied lying to the FBI during a Jan. 24, 2017, White House meeting, and said he regrets pleading guilty in the special counsel’s probe.

“I am innocent of this crime, and I request to withdraw my guilty plea,” Flynn said in a declaration submitted Wednesday in his case.

    1. Yes! And he has a lawyer that’ll make them sweat. This will be fun to watch except only ONE channel in North America will show it.

  1. President Trump needs a good NSA. Or maybe just give the General a staff of accountants and auditors and turn him loose on the Intelligence Community.

There is a reason they went so hard after President Donald Trump and Lt. General Flynn right out the gate in December 2016. I think they were afraid their retirement plans and accounts were going to be impacted. Something really spooked a lot of senior people in the FBI, DOJ, and the Obama White House.

    Will we ever find out?

  2. The corrupt democrats need far more than Flynn withdrawing his guilty plea, those responsible for this corrupt democrat congress need to be arrested and charged with sedition and or treason, because that is what they have been involved in with their not so subtle coup.

  3. Disgraceful lawyers colluded with the FBI to screw him over.

I hope he finds the means to sue all of them until they are personally destroyed financially, it’s what they want to do to him, his tormentors deserve no less.

  4. so they blackmailed him into coping a plea…lied and reneged on it…
    …sounds about right

    1. Latitude, his first law firm was legally compromised as the FBI named them in another potential law suit, and they withheld this info from Flynn. So he can also sue them for damages, as they couched him to plea guilty

    1. “Anyone doubt that stench doesn’t stretch up into Canaduh?”

Pretty sure it’s a free exchange of stenches. PM Trudeau is a publicly admitted criminal and the RCMP won’t arrest him.
      It’s Eau de Prog toilet.

  5. And, two FISA’s were ruled illegal already. Two more were not ruled on yet, and if they prove illegal then Flynn will fly free, and likely Stone and Manafort. Swampers will be taking their place

  6. Correction: Flynn has filed a motion to withdraw his guilty plea. I don’t think Judge Sullivan will let him do it.

Sullivan has, consistently, sided with the DOJ, even to the extent disallowing Brady file material that the DOJ said didn’t exist…but then was proven to exist. No penalties or repercussions were applied by the Court to the DOJ, and the Judge held fast to his position.

    1. I think he will allow Flynn to withdraw his guilty plea, but will caution he will allow all the dirt on his family the corruptocrats had initially used to intimidate, blackmail and ultimately break General Flynn.

I know this won’t happen but what if this all went away as the prosecution decides they don’t want to be defendants, then Trump re-hires Flynn?

That would be fun, assuming Flynn clears his hurdles. I sense a lawsuit and a book deal.

      1. The DOJ provided cover for Sullivan by lowering their recommended sentence to probation. Sullivan will take the bait and deny the Motion to Remove the plea then move to sentence Flynn to probation while lecturing him in the process. Bank on it.

The murky question is whether Trump will thumb his nose at the Court and issue an immediate pardon upon the finalized sentencing. I don’t think he does.

    2. Orson, I see Powell threatening Sullivan with a SCOTUS review, that lady is at the top of her game

      1. Oh, they’ll likely appeal. But, Sullivan is firmly in the DOJ camp. On a side note, I’m a bit torn on the issue. I think Flynn got a raw deal, but I also think Flynn is an idiot. I don’t want trained Generals (or any military of significant rank) working on foreign soil and assisting foreign entities in any fashion. Granted, Flynn was set up and the entity he was doing business with didn’t identify themselves as a direct arm of the Turkish govt. But, do we really want trained US high rank military applying their expertise outside our own borders?

Take another perspective. Would we feel comfortable with someone high up for the Dept of Energy (DOE) working outside our borders advising some foreign state on something like nuclear energy? The FARA Act was created to require registration of these type folks. But, who polices them? Who is sitting there looking over their shoulder assuring that they aren’t providing information detrimental to the US? And, if there is someone to that effect…can we actually trust them either?

Flynn relied on an attorney to properly decipher FARA to assure that he wasn’t in violation. And, here’s the tell….no one knows because the law is arbitrary, vague and prone to political wrangling (applied selectively for political gain or aggression).

So, yeah, I’m torn. Part of me thinks Flynn needs to be made an example of so others are discouraged from following the same path (whether currently legal or not). Part of me thinks he doesn’t deserve it. But, one thing is for sure. Flynn put himself in a position to be abused by the DOJ by entering into a business he, obviously, didn’t fully understand or have the experience to protect himself.

Fire away, I realize my opinion isn’t a popular one on the right. So be it. I call’em like I see’em.

  7. Anyone over the age of 18, who believe’s any cop who tells them they don’t need a lawyer, should not be depended upon, for anything more important than mucking out stalls.
