The Drive By Media. I don’t have to explain this tactic to you, but it’s still useful to have so many useful examples gathered in one place.
The corporate press has a nasty little technique they use that's either become ubiquitous or I've simply started noticing it. When they first mention a Bad Person in their article, they will as an aside immediately brand them with the most stigmatizing descriptor possible.

hmmff.
Im feeling left out.
any suggestions out there SDA?
Here is a suggestion, don’t waste a minute thinking about it.
This is simply another example of “advocacy journalism”which stems from the book “Interpretative Reporting” by Curtis MacDougall in which it was said that the goal of journalism was not to accurately report the news, but to shape history. “Good journalism” must give the reader the “appropriate” context by which the “correct” opinions could be formed. And it is full blown practice today which is why the media can’t be trusted.
This was the birth of what we now call “advocacy journalism.” Idealist young journalism students lapped it up. Making history was going to be far more exciting than merely reporting facts. MacDougall’s philosophy now seems to be the accepted “norm” in every major journalism school in the country.
Curtis MacDougall was Illinois state supervisor of the heavily Communist Party-infiltrated Federal Writers Project from 1939 to 1942, going on to teach journalism in Northwestern University until his retirement in 1971.
So when you hear about the “unbiased” media, give some thought to that.
Funny you should post this, because lately I’ve been thinking more and more about what I’ve learned in school, what I’ve been told all my life and what I think about WWII.(I’m 61)
Watching the media report on Trump for the last 4 years, and watching them report on impeachment, has me astonished, at the brazen manipulation of the facts,,, in an era where they can easily be proven wrong, or lying by omission.
Now stop and think back to the 1940’s, where there was no internet,,, to challenge media, to confirm media reporting or media omissions.
Was hitler really rightwing,,, or was he leftwing,,, just like the modern day left, be it Democrats rigging their own presidential primary, Antifa(anti free speech), anti police, deep state, etc
Hitler was left wing. He was an anti-capitalist.
He was named “Man of the Year” in 1938 by Time Magazine. They noted Hitler’s anti-capitalistic economic policies and you will notice that the parties that are the closest in terms of ideology are the NDP in Canada and the lunatic Democrats in the U.S.
“Most cruel joke of all, however, has been played by Hitler & Co. on those German capitalists and small businessmen who once backed National Socialism as a means of saving Germany’s bourgeois economic structure from radicalism. The Nazi credo that the individual belongs to the state also applies to business. Some businesses have been confiscated outright, on other what amounts to a capital tax has been levied. Profits have been strictly controlled. Some idea of the increasing Governmental control and interference in business could be deduced from the fact that 80% of all building and 50% of all industrial orders in Germany originated last year with the Government. Hard-pressed for food- stuffs as well as funds, the Nazi regime has taken over large estates and in many instances collectivized agriculture, a procedure fundamentally similar to Russian Communism.”
(Source: Time Magazine; January 2, 1939.)
The difference between National Socialist and Bolshevik Socialism is about the same as the difference between Shiite and Sunnis.
With largely the same outcome for people who ignore this fact.
you can watch this video and become more enlightened about where the various governments fall

Yes, Joey. NAZI translated, is National Socialist German Workers’ Party. Several years ago, I wrote in an SDA comment that NAZIs were left wing and a number of responders “corrected” me. It continues ever thus, with those on the Left unable to accept the truth and the parallels with Communism.
All this stems from the mistaken notion that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Hitler was “right wing” in two senses. The Nazi party sat on the right side of the Reichstag, whereas the Communists sat on the left side. And Hitler was an Aryan supremacist, which meant of course Deutschland uber Alles. To some, that supposedly put him in the right wing.
My sense of politics says that the far left of the political spectrum is state control under whatever name, an emperor, the Communist party, or Nazis. The far right should properly mean no state at all, just anarchy. We live in a very small part of that spectrum in real life. To the right anarchy is controlled by laws, and even the Founding Fathers of the United States found some laws necessary. They adopted the Constitution to limit the extend of laws, and limit federal power. So to the left state dictatorship by draconian laws is limited by the Constitution.
In real life no ruling power would advocate anarchy, so excess of laws is much more prevalent than excess of freedom, and it is much easier to find countries to the left than to the right. Germans who opposed the Nazis were misled by the mistaken notion I stated in the beginning, and some became Communists, not realizing they are at the same end of the spectrum, only separated on who has the power. In Germany, it was the Nazis. In Russia, it was the Communists. The resultant rule is the same.
Hitler and his friends called themselves National Socialists, but liberals and communists are horrified to admit that’s exactly what they were… Both had a Mr Big, a centralized government that was nothing but a rubber stamp, top down economic planning, internment camps for anyone who differed with them and they both hated Jewish citizens and blamed their troubles on them. The only real difference between Nazi Germany and the USSR were the uniforms and the type of moustaches worn by their supreme leaders. I give the Nazis got the edge with those knee boots, leather overcoats and snappy uniforms while the Soviets looked like they were wearing left over theater costumes.
I noticed long ago that it’s all about the adjectives and adverbs. They invariably tell you more about the reporter than they do about the subject being reported.
As George Carlin once said, language is used to obscure not inform, that is a paraphrase.
Sadly it is comedy.
Those with zero knowledge of history, human nature and practicality are “shaping the narrative” to influence the proles.
Why would one expect anything but “Unintended consequences”?
Now that truth has finally got its boots on,the lie is falling.
I am not even sure most of the untruths are even lies, truth derangement Syndrome seems to run parallel to trump derangement.
When you are raised on lies, truth is toxic to self image..until you grow up and learn to think for yourself.
My Feeling.
Makes for an “interesting” life.
