    1. I read that the other day and wondered just what judge would give such a sentence and was there more involved? Is the judge a pervert?

    1. And an airport is the perfect place for such a channel. There’s not a whole lot to do while one is waiting for a flight, so one tends to look at the telly out of sheer boredom.

      I’ve spent a lot of time in airport departure lounges recently, so I know what I’m referring to.

          Too many relatives of US politicians, of both parties, collect large stipends from foreign parties. There’s nothing wrong? They are consulting. Yet the money dries up when said politicians are out of power. It seems like the brilliant consultative minds turn to ineffectual dust when daddy or mommy is out of power.

          If you close your eyes, plug your ears, and shut your mind you’ll find no evidence.

    Long time city employees get a $10,000 bonus upon retirement. No one in the city administration knows which council approved this perk, which apparently started in the early 1960s.

    I am stunned that our spendthrift council voted to end this perk.

    Now the unions are upset. Awh. Too bad. They predict a surge of retirements in the next two years, as long time workers retire early to collect the bonus. Given the high unemployment rate in Calgary I’m not sure I see a whole bunch of retirements.

    But bring it on unions. There is no guarantee the retiring employees will be replaced.

    1. That’s shocking I thought it would be impossible to repeal something like that. What makes it more incredible is that the membership of the council didn’t even change last election (or so I heard).

      This is not only a very good thing but bodes very well. Alberta’s politics are moving right.

Main story for some bizarre reason is about Amazon drivers. The rest of the paper is the standard Trump is Hitler stories, Doug Ford is Hitler, the Conservative Party is full of Hitlers, Islam is wonderful, diversity is wonderful, Blackie is wonderful, the Liberal Party is wonderful, Canadians are racist bastards. And Blackie’s media is excited that Great Spiritual Leader Justin has blessed Prince Harry’s trip to Canada. Yes Pope Justin issued a tweet from his beach in Costa Rica wishing Harry a blessed vacation in Canada.

        4. Oh please. Gay “marriage” is a travesty. It is now the law of the land, but efforts to establish that It is equal to heterosexual marriage are unconvincing. Heterosexual marriage has the act of procreation at its centre. Gay “marriage” cannot compete with that. Civil unions give equal rights to gay partnerships, Most people do not have a problem with that, but trying to equate gay “marriage” and heterosexual unions is ignoring the elephant in the room.

  21. Not sure if this has been talked about yet. IMO, this is somewhat similar to when authorities finally shut down the Dakota access pipeline “protest”. Police are sending a message here, hopefully these people will realize this isn’t just a hippie game they’re playing.

  22. PM Boris is having a Christmas visit to British troops in the Baltic countries. Meanwhile Blackie is laying on a beach in Costa Rica. Perhaps Boris can visit the Canadian troops in those Baltic countries.
