    1. The institution I used to teach at had facilities in which students with disabilities could write their exams. They had submit a request to do so, though, technically, I had to give my approval for that. I never turned anyone down, nor did I ever hear of a colleague doing so.

      I had students with genuine disabilities in my courses. I remember one who didn’t want to write his exam in that place because in industry (where he was for a while before returning to school), employers aren’t necessarily going to make such allowances for someone like him. He didn’t want any special treatment.

      There were, however, some who claimed they had some sort of disability and cobbled together convincing stories to support that and, as I recall, some even brought physician’s notes as well. (One wiseacre’s “physician” wrote the note on looseleaf paper and happened to have the identical handwriting as him. Coincidence?) I knew they were fibbing, but, since I wasn’t a physician myself, I was in no position to challenge their request.

      The reason why they tried to pull that stunt was quite clear: they thought that the extra time they were given would give them an advantage. As it turned out, it didn’t help any of the fakers. One even admitted later on that he was pulling my leg with his “disability”.

But I’m waiting for the press credentials to be revoked of the reporter yesterday who dared question Great Leader about why taxpayers are paying for him to attend two Liberal fundraisers in B.C. Justin’s answer of course was to rant about Harper.

          1. First, no PM is “stealing” anything. The equalization programme is based on Federal tax revenues, not specific payments from the provinces. If any province becomes prosperous, it follows that the Federal revenues raised from residents and businesses in that province are going to be greater. They would be anyway, with or without equalization.

            But as for taking money from the rest of Canada, until the Leduc strike in 1947 Alberta was pretty much an up again, down again, boom-and-bust province and thus frequently a general financial liability to the Dominion as a whole.

            Oh, and by the way, without the Dominion of Canada, there would have been no Alberta.

When the CBC News reported on this yesterday, they used the “woman” phrase matter-of-factly, of course omitting the “t” word. Yet one must have been struck by the fact that there are so few women computer engineers, and the who are don’t go around undertaking massive vandalism. The guilty perps are typically crazed young men, spending too much time behind a computer.

    But then again, it is not only CBC News, but all the media cartel refuse to call the perp a transgedered perp. A picture of this guy shows he’s a sicko male nerd, not all there between the ears. But our cartel will carefully censor the nerd’s gender status. Censorship rules.

    Speaking of censorship, when police announced that the accused murderer in the Markham killings was one Menhaz Zaman — an Arabic name according to any Internet research — our fine media cartel has dropped coverage of the murders like a hot potato. Never mind that three of the four victims were women. Nobody in the corporate cartel cares now.

  26. Trudeau’s Toronto Star points out that so far Great Leader Kim Sung Trudeau has spent less than Hitler Harper before elections. The Star is proud that the federal government has only spent 18 million dollars of taxpayer money from April to June to promote Liberal policies. This of course does not include the ongoing costs of Groper and cabinet ministers traveling around the country preaching the Liberal message.

  31. In Canada there are too many parties already within a two party system. A former Conservative has created another party rather than convincing the Conservatives to be conservative. I worry that he’ll end up having egg on his face like the Reform party, the Bloc and in Alberta, the Wildrose. I may still vote for him. Don’t know yet. My province may not be able to afford to live within this multi-party Confederation, we may have to separate.

    Yet,if there is commotion or even total war on the Northern flank of the American border, the American government may just have to occupy and take over this loonie place. It might not be so bad.

    But I have a nice red Rupert’s Land flag flying right now. I see the Flag Store in Calgary Ab hasn’t closed yet due to our poor economy. I might just go get a new flag, an American flag. After all, I am an American, that is North American.

  45. Weather Channel had a side article about ten of thousands of unopened water bottles, some still crated, discovered on some farm estate 20 miles outside San Juan. The article also mentions the tens of thousands of water bottles left on a dock. That along with the government officials trying to embezzle $17 million of hurricane Maria recovery funds telegraphs that, as usual, Trump was right.
